Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock
Ignoring the very obvious jokey "Pistols from Bristol" headline because it's deadly serious now, we have a lengthy trip down to Bristol come Saturday. Whatever sort of game it will be, a "friendly doesn't exactly describe it. There's too much at stake for us. Bristol are in 14th league spot, so little to gain or lose for them, but everything for the Whites. Playing away in front of 10,000 mainly away fans won't have quite the impact of Monday's 24,000 at the Unibol, but our fans are the best and the side will surely want to give them something to cheer about. A win is crucial for us and Aaron Collins is sure to get a hot(hostile?) reception from his pevious fans especially with his latest hat trick in mind. So will it be Collins and Bod leading the pack, or will Dion be back in the selection for up-fronters? Your guess is as good (better) then mine, so rattle on and stand by to repel boarders. COME ON YOU WHITES..

Still "doable" and whilst it might not mathematically be "must win," feels like we, at least, need to better Derby's next result and win game in hand. I'd be disappointed if we didn't win, given next up is Pompey.

Just. Keep. Winning.

A positive update today from the boss regarding Baxter, so I expect him to come in for a Coleman as the only change from Monday.
The Gas have nowt to play for, and there seems to be a degree of negativity amongst their fanbase, so it would be very disappointing if we weren’t to win this one.
1-3 Bolton

This.
Each game as it comes, forget about the rest. Get the goals and on we march.

Can see it being tight. Hopefully, we come out on the right side with a narrow victory.

They are safely mid-table and haven't scored in 5 games. As a consequence I think it'll be a 2-goal win

Interesting to see what team Evatt puts out now that most have recovered from injury. I am feeling that injuries forced him to pick a settled side which is now starting to click as we approach the playoffs. Do we tinker with it. I am afraid too much tinkering will have a negative effect as it always seem to do. If Baxter is fit, he starts with Coleman on the bench because he is such a good keeper and will need matches as we go into playoffs. Aside from that, same starting side for me.

I'm thinking the same. Dion is sure to figure, probably from the bench to start, but the rest have done so well, does he gamble? Mid season, definitely, but on the current razor edge, who knows? I'll feel a bit sorry for Coleman if he doesn't start, but?irie Cee Bee wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2024 2:31 pmInteresting to see what team Evatt puts out now that most have recovered from injury. I live in the Bath end of Bristol and went to watch the Gas against Carlisle a few weeks back. It was a turgid affair with very little quality on display. Carlisle went ahead in that game but seemed incapable of keeping a clean sheet, so the Gas went on to win 2-1. But if the quality is the same then I’d expect nothing short of a hammering (at least in terms of possession). The only question is whether we’ll turn that dominance into goals.

Strong Wind over in the South West today. Hoping it won't affect the game too much.

Ashworth and Ramsay dropped from the 18, Gethin presumably still not fit

So we can have two out and out centre backs on there. Bizzare!Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sat Apr 06, 2024 2:05 pmAshworth and Ramsay dropped from the 18, Gethin presumably still not fit

Baxter's back, no sign of Charles however. Given the form of our strikers it's hardly surprising he's missing and faith being shown in favour of Charles' recovery.
We should be fixing our away record for this and catching back up to put pressure on Derby for the final run in.
