Huddersfield will be pissing themselves. Suspect they thought we were genuine rivals this summer. They have dicked us at our own ground, scored one of the most comical goals I have ever seen against us, and now they are taking our top scorer for a steal!

Yeah he’s been off form but he and Evatt have fallen out. It’s a pattern. Evatt can’t cope with being challenged. The man has destroyed us.

I don’t think I would miss many of these players but Charles is one at his best who is different. He’s not some technical fairy he does work his socks off and he puts his laces through it.

Selling him is one thing. Selling him to a club above us in the league for a paltry sum having wasted money similar or more on absolute unmitigated dross like McAtee is another.

It feels criminal now that Evatt is being allowed to make big changes to the squad - both letting assets go and bringing in more expensive buys when it’s obvious to anyone outside of the boardroom that his days are numbered. I can guarantee that our next manager, whoever they are, would want Charles in their squad.

He's in the top 3% of EFL footballers this season for Goals/Minute ratio, he's in the top 2% of EFL Footballers for Goal Involvements/Minute ratio

He hasn't been given 90 minutes once this season.

He bagged a hattrick in a league game this season.

Headline stats aside, his energy and workrate is unmatched in our team and we can't replace that. We look a worse team when he's not in it.

Northampton away this season, he came on, looked like his old self and scored a good goal. Rest of this season, like the team, he's underperformed. Can only hope he's affected by the Wanderers curse, of very few players leaving us and going on to better things.

He had a really good game for NI, can’t remember which one but he scored and assisted j think. Then came back to treacle ball and was stuck in the malaise like the rest of them.

I doubt it. This Terry Taylor at Charlton seems a likely addition, and then we’ve got Thomason, Matete, Morley, Sheehan and Arfield.
