I don’t blame Johnston for the deflection/oggy - I rarely do blame defenders for trying to get in the way. But I do blame him for a shit header, and I do blame JOT nd Schon for acting like they’ve never headed a ball in their lives.

If you want to know why Ian you're not going to succeed, Charlton made 3 changes to which you didn't respond.
Same old shit. Absolutely cruising and they've done us in the last 30.

It's poor defending, but the effort was shit aswell and they've got lucky with it. Nowhere near on target and yet its gone in of his face. Just our luck.
Don't deserve this.
Don't deserve this.

His header out was wank. Plain and simple.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:37 pmI don’t blame Johnston for the deflection/oggy - I rarely do blame defenders for trying to get in the way. Yeah. I sort of see why he didn’t as the likely exiters had played well. And I also see the irony of a manager regularly criticised for robotic substitutions deciding instead to hold his hand. But it didn’t work well did it?

What a fecking waste of a good performance.

Wait a minute, are you saying Ian didn’t react to changing circumstance?

I mean, Matete has stood on his calf there. I’d roll around too.

Reactive not pro-active subs.
Least they're not prescriptive subs as per usual.
Evatt can't win when it's like that. Can't exactly say he failed to turn the game in our favour. We've been up for this throughout the match.
Dirty from Matete that.

Shit rough-and-tumble team and we fecked it.

Well, we were due a loss last match and due a win this match. We got neither. Rather than 3 points from 2 games its now 1 point from 2. We didn't deserve it from Cambridge and deserve a result today.
Sad to hear all the boos wringing out today. That's a tough one to take given that performance. It was better, but it wasn't enough.

Surely that's enough. Surely this time.

Evatt on the pitch having a go at one of their players

Meh. Zero points at home when we had it in the bag against a poor team.Mar wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:45 pmWell, we were due a loss last match and due a win this match. We got neither. Either way, he should be steering clear of any trouble like that.
Well, it's not often Charlton do the double over us, but there you go.

Tough result that one, thought we played well for the vast majority and certainly didn't deserve to lose.

It's certainly sad to hear booing, because the booing happened because we lost.
But I don't blame anyone who's gone through the January cold and rain, and paid their hard-earned, to watch a poor team lose to an even worse one, from venting their feelings at the end.
I'm not one for prolonged booing during the game but at halftime and full-time, feedback is fair.

If it's their lad in the corner then he's no right to. Matete clearly stamps on the lads leg. Wouldn't be surprised if it's reported.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:45 pmEvatt on the pitch having a go at one of their players
Another loss Ian. That win % is tumbling.

Either way, to use his own (in)famous phrase, he needs to man up.Mar wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:47 pmOur was that their player having a go at Evatt?Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:45 pmEvatt on the pitch having a go at one of their players
