You tease....jmjhb wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 3:45 pmI'd imagine the other irons in the fire will progress as normal, doesn't necessarily need Schuey to be there.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 3:18 pmAnd Schuey has the extra signing he said would be in before they depart. Gale signed - 4 years.
Edit: When did they do PSG, if they're all in Spain?
Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
Surely the whole idea of having a DoF and a whole team of ex Argyle recruitment staff is that we don't need a manager to be around 24/7?
Nice that we kept this largely under wraps until it was done.

Something about the Ceesay story isn’t adding up to me. Feels like we are being used tbh.Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 3:57 pmThierry & potentially Cisse....we are being spoilt !

For what its worth Mr Iles saying that its paperwork related with us being out of the EU etc. apparently it was similar to what's happened with Thierry.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 3:59 pmSomething about the Ceesay story isn’t adding up to me. Personally I think it will happen, however it feels like BWFCI thinks that bigger clubs than us will maybe now come in for him and that we've been used by his agent just to drum up interest, although we have apparently agreed a fee.

How long until the BN has a "Gale Blows A Storm" headline?

No just on how odd it feels. The fact it’s out so publically - is it an agent trying to use us to entice others?Worthy4England wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 5:03 pmIs this a feeling in the water or based on anything much?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 3:59 pmSomething about the Ceesay story isn’t adding up to me. I'd be doing just that! Think as Bertie said there was some convo about "paperwork," because of Szabi wasn't there?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Jul 04, 2025 6:14 pmNo just on how odd it feels. I suspect it’s a record for a Barbadian player. The journalist is Barbadian and largely focused on Barbadian audience.
Same journalist says he (Gale not the journo) will wear No.11. That was Dan’s number…

I can't workout what Schuey is aiming to do with the formation. I'm pretty sure back 4 is set in stone, and we've had bids/links to strikers like the Celtic lad. Assuming we get someone like that, both he and Dalby will likely be starters, I doubt we're spending that kind of money on a sub. This implies the 4132 is what were going for but if so are we going to be playing wingers in that formation? Having 1 deep midfielder, 1 central midfielder flanked by 2 wingers? That seems kind of a lightweight midfield to me, also no starting spots for Morley, Sheehan, or Thomason. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I feel pretty sure it’s likely a 433 - obvs some sort of variant - 4231/4123 I guess.Spartan2 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 05, 2025 12:48 amI can't workout what Schuey is aiming to do with the formation. lineup (5).png
We need another striker who can play up top but let’s not forget it would be quite common in that sort of system to play a striker in one of the wide forward roles.
Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread
Gale looks to be a right footed left winger, suggesting Schuey is looking to play ‘inverted’ wingers again. I’m not against that entirely, but I hope to god that Schön is not going to be the starter on the right, because he’s really, really bad there.

Presuming Ceesay goes through, Schuey might have his first 11 in:
Teddy
Cogs - Forino - Taylor - Conway
Morley - Ceesay - Simons
Gale - Daley - Tutu
Even looking at those unfamiliar surnames feels weird. Bring it on, like.
