How to add Twitter/YouTube content to the forums

Post by DJBlu » Wed Feb 14, 2024 11:23 am

Howdy all,

Quick guide on:

Twitter/X

To add Twitter/X content. Ensure there are no spaces when posting.

To add the link you can surround the https :// twitter.com / OfficialBWFC / status / 1757693962830196913. The same works for x.com links.

with [ tweet ] [ /tweet ]

If there is anything beyond the numbers then the content will not work, ensure it is just status/1234556 and not status/1235523423?t=

It will place the twitter content in the forum like so.

YouTube

To add YouTube videos you need to grab the video ID.

When adding the from the link https : // www.youtube.com / watch?v=3p5I8tt_FiM we need the part that starts after ?v= which is placed between with [ youtube ] [ /youtube ]. If there is anything beyond the video ID it will not work, An example is, 3p5I8tt_FiM&t=180s should be 3p5I8tt_FiM

The following submitted without spaces will add the content to the forum

[ youtube ] 3p5I8tt_FiM [/ youtube ]

It will place the YouTube content in the forum like so.

Every time I add an emoji to a reply it appears as a question mark in a box. For example, when I type ‘I don’t know’ it comes up with the appropriate emoji, I select it and yet when I post the reply I get the box/question mark appear. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Try posting one here and will tell you what appears.

Sometimes it can be an issue with the display at your end.

Suspect it's to do with mobile (If I post an emoji direct off android, I get the same thing)

Thanks for your responses.
I’ll try a thumbs up 👍 here. If it doesn’t work, I can’t do a sad emoji.

Somehow I get both a broken emoji - landscape with a line through it - but also a small thumbs up. Beats me
