Chancellor won't be happy with that inflation

If we wait until tomorrow, it's probably a double triple rollover.

Iles reports that they’re ‘readying’ a £1.2m bid. I’d hazard a guess that we’re past that stage if this information is already out there.

It's basically a done deal by the time I get to hear about it

The club is always more important than any individual player. If he goes, and we're able to reinvest, then OK.

That being said, I'd be gutted to see Thomo go. He's a better player than many give credit for. Personally hope it's another Bristol situation, where he turns them down even if the bid is accepted. He seems to like it here.

Doubt he turns this one down. He’s probably on to double or treble his wages.

I’d say that him going to Wrexham a league up is a big loss and we will need a quality replacement. Sheehan is not the answer to anything other than staying in league one and Morley doesn’t and can’t do what Thomason does. But money talks

I guess they see Simons as a better fit for a 4-2-3-1

So who will partner with Simons in that formation if/when Thomo goes?

I couldn’t say with any confidence that Thomason would’ve been a starter this season, so I’m not sure it’s that big a loss.

Michael Smith has agreed his release from Sheff Weds, club should do all they can to get him providing he doesn't have offers from the championship. He is exactly what we need, a game changer IMO.

Morley, and whoever comes in as a replacement, I guess.

It was, yeah.

I'll let the ITKs on Twitter break the news though

He’s 34 soon. Might be worth a one year deal, but not someone I’d be going all out for.

Its all about opinions - personally I would give him a two year deal on the best wage we can afford and also the captaincy, but I suspect that he will have offers from the championship.

Presumably he’s going to want at least £10k per week, which I think is way beyond what we’d pay. Maybe wait and see if he gets offers, and if not, go in towards the end of the window.

I suspect we will see further outgoings of fringe members of the squad before a flurry of signings.

I mean who else have we got who can do the running you need? Morley is a sitter but I rather think Simons is a much better version of him.

So we need the all action energy type to go with him. Sheehan is not it and we all saw how much better Simons and Thommo midfield looked compared to Morley and Sheehan the other night.

A serious replacement would be needed. And a particular type. They need to be a hard runner and physical.
