This is going to be a bit of a mad weekend - down south on Thursday after work, Friday at the Oval test match, Sheff United away on the Saturday, this golf thingie on the Sunday, and then back down south to fly out to Kiev on Monday morning!

What's the Regent Park driving range like? Usually go to Kearsley or Blackrod. Blackrod is £4.50 for a hundred balls. Kearsley has gone up to £6.40 for the same.

Green with golf balls on it!

I think it's £3.00 for 50. It has automated tees too which are s much bother as they are anything else.

Cheers Bruce. Unless I'm using a driver I never bother with the tees anyway. Hit em off the deck.

Right boys, I expect you to moan but here are the handicaps for Sunday based on your bragging. I have dropped some of them to allow for the beginners as while the likes of me and Bruce aren't great and would normall y take 28, us having the same handicap as a novice isn't right, so.....

for some reason I suspect blurred will be sat at home wringing his hands. (But I reserve the right to amend it, once I've gone over the bragging again.)

I've seen him play, and I reckon you could shave a couple off that...

Gee, what a massive compliment. A bloke who's 67 years old next month and hasn't played a round of golf for six years. But, I'll take it and I'm going for the win now. Sharpen your irons and beware

TD my 22 would suggest I could go round in 93, that's 12 less than I did last Sunday, they're all (hopefully) on the low side as stableford makes it very different.

No sweat, like I said, I'm going for it. Now where did I put those plus fours and my Victor Meldrew cap? Think I'd better get the Roberto deVicenzo driver out of the wardrobe too.

I would argue that's a bit unfair - surely local knowledge accounts for those couple of shots? By the way mummy's talking you'd think I broke 100 every time I went out on the course... which I don't!

Ah come on Blurred, what the hell. Take the handicap and let's get to battle. All's fair in love and Golf. As for local knowlege, who plays from the same places every time? If you can guarantee where your ball's going you should be playing off four or five, not 22. The pond awaits....

I just meant having played the course before, but indeed, I am sure the pond does await. I'll play off whatever, after all, it's only a bit of a giggle. :)

Anybody got a decent camera? This could be for some good footage. This is, after all, TheWanderer Open Championship. A chance for somebody to win something that doesn't have SOTWA or Crazy Horse on it.
