A few years ago Molson breweries produced an ad to show the difference between Canadians and Americans (not just the beers) which made it to youtube

was alright , they were a bit like alcholics anonymous to me , this 'self help with religon (by some religous bigots)' was wierd ... you'd be better off just going to proper church ..communistworkethic wrote:ditto!
was fecked .. [joke] not that panorama 's biased or owt [/joke]
it did include those "philly g edits" that they (panorama) like , tho ..
he even sed "i cant see the church of england being like this" while being followed by 4 people carriers / mithered to death , and honestly you couldnt .. really .. Not even joking - even the most anti-religous folk should hope jesus comes back with a video telephone to god that anyone could use to ask him stuff - just so those 'tards wont spy on you in the bog anymore ..
yours,
john smith

With no attempt whatsoever to get into religious mode, many such are followed avidly, and expanded drastically, when someone like Madonna or Tom Cruise "discover" them. But for that there wouldn't be a need for all these TV "investigations", many of which are media-ised to ridiculous lengths. Uncovering world-shattering "secrets" is a national pastime with the media. The world goes on regardless.

I sent that link to my one Canadian friend and he said the following:Montreal Wanderer wrote:A few years ago Molson breweries produced an ad to show the difference between Canadians and Americans (not just the beers) which made it to youtube

Puke. That commercial is even worse than the beer it's promoting, which is indeed an impressive thing. I don't have much time for that particular attitude of indignant, yet empty, self-righteousness held by some Canuckistanis: we're in fact 33rd in the world when it comes to involvement in peacekeeping missions (and some good they do anyway...), our status as 'bilingual nation' is part and parcel of one of the most ridiculous arrangements of federalism in the world, our 'diversity' program (ie. multiculturalism) is a mixed bag of tokenism and terrorism, and the beaver is an oversized rat. Canada is indeed a lovely place (and admittedly our hockey players do kick ass), but mostly for different reasons than those spewed by Joe. Eh?
