Diana and Dodi inquest under way
So ... that's another 6m we'll hear little more than about her. Fck. Just when I thought it was getting better !!!The inquest into the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, and Dodi Al Fayed has begun at London's High Court, more than 10 years after Diana's death .
A jury of six women and five men has been selected for the hearing, which could last six months. They were chosen by ballot from a shortlist of 25.
Throughout the case, jurors will be escorted to and from court by police.
This will cost £millions & millions just to show that not wearing a seatbelt whilst being driven fast, by a drunk, in a tunnel, is dangerous.
Or did Prince Phillip undo her seatbelt then ?
Like it's possible for ANYONE to go into this without some preconceived notion. I admit that I have one, but I try to hide it !!!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I don't care how they died. Its 10 years ago.
Personally (and this is a personal view) I didn't particularly care at the time that they died, how they died, or even that they died, I was more bothered about whether it would mean that the opening game at the Reebok would be cancelled or not.

I think the inquest will reveal that she was The World's Greatest Mother.
'cept when she was shagging Hewitt, Carling, that other guy y'know the toe-sucker (toe sucking? She did more than that), Dodi, Timothy Spall, and the rest.
If she'd have been at home looking after her kids she'd still be our queen of hearts.
Charles won!

I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

* In six months time*
The 10 O Clock News on the BBC/ITv/Sky etc.....
Newsreader1 "In sport Bolton Wanderers have reached the final of the FA Cup after defeating Manchester United in the semi-final at Villa Park...."
Newsreader2 "I'm sorry I have to interrupt you there we have some breaking news regarding the Diana/Dodi inquiry, Peter our legal affairs correspondent is outside the High Court now with the verdict."
Peter *stands with piece of paper* "The verdict has just been handed to me shall I read it out now?"
Newsreader2 "Yes please do".
Peter " The independent inquiry into the death of Diana and Dodi has found that both died as a result of a CAR CRASH"
Newsreader2 "ummmmm...is that it?"
Peter "Yes that is it. The most exciting, most revelationary thing yet to come out of this episode. This will surely open a whole new can of worms".
Newsreader2 "Yawnsss"

Yep - from the mOxford Dictionary of Law under inquest.communistworkethic wrote:because it's an inquest, not a criminal court
Still, I agree it is a waste of public money. An inquiry into a death the cause of which is unknown. An inquest is conducted by a coroner and often requires the decision of a jury of 7–11 jurors. It must be held in the case of a sudden death whose cause is unknown or suspicious, a death occurring in prison, or when the coroner reasonably suspects that the death was caused by violent or unnatural means. Inquests are not, however, criminal proceedings; witnesses are usually cross-examined only by the coroner and the strict laws of evidence do not apply. If unlawful homicide is suspected, and criminal proceedings are likely, the coroner will usually adjourn the inquest (and must do so if requested to by a chief police officer). If the inquest jury find that a particular person caused the death in circumstances amounting to homicide, that person may stand trial. It is an offence to dispose of a body with the intention of preventing an inquest being held.

The conspiracy theory is that the crash was caused with a delibertae intent to kill. How many car crashes prove fatal? What if instead of snuffing Di the driver of the Punto had died and Di simply drove passed with Dodi's finger up her minge?
If it was me who had to do the killing I'd have set a fcking tiger on the b itch.
That generally works.

Its funny I've yet to meet anyone (aside from sad old ladies who put pictures of Diana up in their front windows) who actually mourned her death or even liked her much when she was alive.
Yet it seems that you can still sell millions of papers on the back of her as some people just can't get over it. Where do all these people come from?
