Having just re-visited this post after a few days I was only too pleased to see that some people have spent a lot of time and effort putting together a list of who would play who in the film of the book.
STEPHEN TWIGG!
Would he, do you think, be the kind of man who would put his balls on the line and watch his men's backs whilst shooting his magazine up a back entrance?
What do you mean, yes?

Wowzers Soldier that's amazing your the first person I know to write a real book and be a published author how cool, you must be dead chuffed so well done you!!!
I've just noticed in this thread some cheeky monkey has remarked on my tubbiness... How rude!! Like lots of things my waistline is a happy memory consigned to the dim and distant past.
(ooh just remembered that Monty is a published author, but then his book wasn't an action adventure based on people from the world of the interweb, and well I haven't ever met Monty... ooh I haven't met Soldier either and now I'm talking rubbish).

What this one? Or the book cover?Batman wrote:who designed the cover?
Kev did the design for the book cover for me, authorhouse did the graphical tidying up.
A friend of mine who read the book last week sent me this one, he said it's how he saw Commie. I was going to save it for 'The Mist of Clarity' but patience isn't one of my better qualities.

Just to let you all know, the book is now on sale from the Bolton Wanderers Reebok superstore as of this morning.
They have promised me that they will put in for a bulk order if they sell the copies they have now. So the success or failure of 'The Wanderer' all rests on the immedaite sales of the books they have now.
So, if your passing and have far to much money on you, maybe you can help out old SOTWA
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

Seen this morning in the Reebok shop, Gary Megson, currently being touted for the job of managing Bolton, reading a copy of The Wanderer with a very worried expression on his face. He appeared to be checking the book against a team list and doing a lot of head shaking and frowning. As he left the store he was heard to mutter: "Who the fxxk is Daxter?"

Seems 'The Wanderer' has landed in America too:
