Weird things found at the side of the road.
Just on my way home tonight; coming along the M62, eastbound between the M6 and the M60 towards Manchester when the traffic comes to a virtual stop. No change there for the rush hour as it's usually a traffic queue hotspot. Anyway I continue along for a bit and up ahead I see a black cab parked on the hard shoulder which I assume has broken down and causing the tailback. As I get closer there as one or two fellas stood behind the taxi, again seems pretty normal to me as people usually get out of a broken down car by the side of the motorway.
Then I looked again.
The driver is sat patiently in the cab and the two lads are stood chatting behind it, both with their backs to the traffic. Thing is, one of them has got his pants and undercrackers round his ankles and has a bunch of flowers stuffed up his arse. Then everyone drove past laughing and starts to speed up again.
Bizarre.

What's weird is... I've read this three times and it makes no sense.Soldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:I saw a cyclist riding up a cycle path at the side of the road, instead of swerving around looking for his next gear, full of high visibility shit, holding up traffic, despite it.
Which was really weird!

In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

it's not sarcasm - I did exactly the same thing as Enfield and couldn't figure it out.Prufrock wrote:the joys of sarcasmenfieldwhite wrote:What's weird is... Did you meanSoldier_Of_The_White_Army wrote:I saw a cyclist riding up a cycle path at the side of the road, instead of swerving around looking for his next gear on the main road, full of high visibility shit, holding up traffic, despite it.
I've had a few beers. FILL IN THE BLANKS PEOPLE!!
a - he swerved into the road from the cycle path whilst looking for his next gear? Which culminated in him holding up traffic and completely ignoring the laws of the road whilst, ironically being laden with all the latest Hi-vis equipment?
or
b- something else?

Bloody shame really!
Now I understand (thanks, TD) and I'm glad that I survived the conclusion of the book (looked bad for a while).
