Citeh? Wet Spam? Let's laugh at these Spud muppets too!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Laugh now before they break their duck in predictable fashion next Sunday.

I watched the game with a couple of Spurs STH, and they were rightly f*cked off with their team's performance. Saying that, I don't think they'll go down... damn it.

They have to win nearly 50% of their remaining 30 games to stay up.

Something in the Metro this morning about a protest being organised at White Hart Lane when we play them.

Hehe.

Is that to get to the magic 40 point mark? To be honest I reckon anything over 30 will be enough this season

Win 10 Draw 10 Lose 10 should see them safe on 42. I mean it's rare that a team goes down with 42 points isn't it, fozzy.

If you take the current 18th placed team, Stoke, currently on 7 points after 8 games, it works out as 33 and a bit points over a 38 game season.

Fair enough, although at some point suring this season I expect Stoke to go on a fairly lenghty run of consecutive losses (or at least with no wins) as I do with a number of reams

Aye it was more an indication of current form than a prediction. It could all go horribly wrong soon, but then again, as did we last season, it could improve a bit toward th'end.

Edit: Hang on, wtf am I on about? if stoke were on 8 points after 8 games it would be 38 points, the figure is actually 33.25

woops.

Can't see either them or Newcastle going out, in the end.

However much it'd tickle me, they'll pull it together at some point. Starting next Saturday in Spurs case I expect.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I think Newcastle are more likely to go. Spurs' form is so ridiculously bad that it must turn soon...

What's the difference between Spurs and the Titanic?

The Titanic has more chance of getting off the bottom.

Off the glory glory website
Of course it's hilarious that one of the country's greatest old clubs are now floundering where we are... but 8 months ago when we'd just beaten 'new history boys' Chelsea at Wembley, and created just the faintest chink of hope that SOMEONE could finally break the monopoly, I didn't see too much laughter then... in fact, the press and media were cramming their tounges so far up our arses they probably didn't have time to think of poking fun! How things change... shouldn't we have been encouraged to push on from there and actually MAKE that challenge we promised so much to do... or are there really darker forces at work here? If anyone, and I mean ANYONE dare try to break the monopoly of the Big Four, they'd better watch their backs...

So, it's all a conspiracy ?!?!?!

Fck me ... accept you aren't playing well.

The reason last season went to rat-shit was because they'd won the League Cup. The players & staff took their collective feet off the gas. To be more positive, having qualified for Europe they could experiment, try new formations, new players etc. with no loss.

The reason they're crap this season, so far ? They shipped in about 12 players & shipped out something similar. The new ones MAY, just may, be better players than the old ... but the old were Premiership-hardened. They knew what it took, whereas the new ones don't yet. There have been some mighty good players come into this league & struggled (Veron, Shevchenko, Jardel (OK, just my little joke)).

To try & slide in so many all at once is very strange & almost certain to take time, let alone that a few will, for sure, fail.

If the likes of the Mighty-Spurs, London based media darlings that they are, feel it's all a big conspiracy God help us lot !
