I'd rather die than.......
We all have strong feelings about certain things. We sometimes say ''I'd rather die than....''
So what would you REALLY say you would die as an alternative to doing?
Without delving into the macabre, I don't think there's much I wouldn't do. I kinda like my life.
I know I'd rather die than see my family hurt. But then they would be hurt by my death or, in dying, I would leave them unprotected against forces unknown.
Hmmmmm........I'm going away to think, now.

Or, indeed, read an F16 manual in Greek?thebish wrote:...read the Gnostic Fathers in pidgin Farsi.
I'm with Enfield. There's not much I wouldn't do to avoid death.
There was a great Dylan Moran joke on this theme - death before dishonour. No, he said, I can take a lot of dishonour before death. And then went on about how he'd happily fellate a smurf rather than die. And so on....

Taking the question seriously there are people I would die for if it meant they could live - starting with my four children. Also I would rather die than live a few months more in excruciating pain.
