Strictly get watching.

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Hey, come on guys. I don't knock threads about X Boxes and other things that don't interest me. Mummy asked a question, I answered it, others joined in. The whole thing is in the entertainment factor with dance the target. Today's news, tomorrow's chip paper, so they say.

Like I said yesterday, Today's news, tomorrow's chip paper. Storm in a tea-cup. They'll appear Saturday, leave to great applause and be history by next week. On with the show.

Aye with the only shred of entertainment now removed.

Hmm. X Factor will murder it even more now!

No. I've watched SCD sometimes. I think its a decent entertainment show. But it doesn't matter who wins or who doesn't. Doesn't matter if they can or can't dance.

Its a bit of fun for a Saturday night.

If it is a COMPETITION then why not just have professional or amateur dance pairs and have a vote based on the dancing? Why bother with celebs?

Its an entertainment show and therefore it doesn't matter who wins in the slightest!

I think John Sergeant agrees. He's just revealed he was booked on a cruise he couldn't get off. You couldn't make it up.

Not that I'm usually in at this time on a Saturday, but I have to agree BWFCI. If this was a serious dancing show, it would be on about five past midnight and be called just Come Dancing. The Germans have rafts of these shows on all the time that are directed predominantly at people who like dance.

The problem appears to be that the "we love dance" community are taking this a bit too seriously. If the programme didn't have people like John Sargeant in it (who blatently can't dance very well) then it would be back to its normal slot in the death watch on a Sunday. I don't believe that it's on in prime time because all of a sudden the population of the UK has decided that doing the Paso Doble is for them and a must three times a week.

As for it not mattering who wins, because "it's an entertainment show" - maybe - but I would draw your attention to the European "It's a Knockout" where the fates of nations were at stake.

Now there's a show that they would get me to watch.

A lot of them probably feel exactly the same about twenty two men kicking a ball around a football field.

Agree totally!

As far as it being a niche programme, the increase in people joining dance classes across the country and the high media coverage suggests it is far from minority niche programming as you can get.

For a non-watcher, you seem to have a pretty good grip on this programme BW

Never said I was a non-watcher. I don't watch ever week as often I'm not in, but I occassionally watch some of it. As entertainment goes its ok!

I just can't take the people who take it too seriously.
