Oh dear.

Though the Bosingwa 'incident' was hilarious, he should have been sent off.

Can't comment on the Lampard one as I ain't seen it, but apparently it was a shocker of a decision.

KD Langpard won the ball, although did go in a bit high. Being honest, I thought it was a harsh decision. Being a Wanderers fan, I thought it was hilarious.

As for the other bid decision of the match... studs in the small of someone's back? Straight red surely? That said, Gerrard could've been sent off for me. Kicked the ball in someone's nuts early doors and then lunged in for a tackle that could've easily been a red.

Check out the MotD highlights on Footytube. As HRG mentioned in the other thread, they show Gerrard's tackle and Lampard's tackle back to back. Gerrard comes in just as high as Lampard, MISSES THE BALL ENTIRELY, swears at the ref and storms off. Not even a yellow. Meanwhile Lampard gets the ball, straight red.

Fair play to Kalou for taking Gerrard's lunge like a man and staying on his feet. Unlike Xabi Alonso who went down like the diving Liverpool bitch he is. Say what you want about the favoritism shown towards the big 4, but by far the biggest beneficiary of all is Steven Gerrard. The biggest cheat in England.

I am by no means a Chelsea fan, but GOD do I hate Liverpool.

From the angle Riley was at (stood behind Lampard) the tackle looked a huge deal worse than it was. From where he was for the Gerrard one (more side-on) he had a better view. They were both yellows in my view, but in Riley's obviously not.

Bosingwa's a tit and will get a lengthy ban (hopefully). What he did was disgraceful and has no place on a football pitch. How Riley, or indeed the linesman, missed that I've not a clue.

Chelsea? Shockingly poor. I bet MOTD had to work really hard to show anything of them as an attacking force, cos I can't remember anything of them going forward. Did Reina make one save, perhaps? We deserved the win and them some.

Saw most of the match and once again Mr Riley does it again, he really is terrible, the decisions he missed with old two footed Gerrard and the kick on the back were bad enough but to send Lampard off for that (albeit very funny) shows he does not have a clue.

Even though a bad decision nice to see Mr England Captain showing the respect campaign continues!

"A cheat & a disgrace !!" (c).

Riley meanwhile, somehow continues to be allowed to fck football up. Mistakes are a reasonable, normal part of life. But if you make the number he does then he should lose his post. It's the fact that, along with a number of other referees, seems to think that he is part of the 'entertainment'. He ain't. He's there to ensure the proper flow of the game, ensure the rules and kept and to be fair. He should be as low-key and invisible as the game allows.

Gerrard should have gone. Straight red would have been justifiable ... certainly was due 2 yellows. It would have given him some time to prepare his defence for the court case too. Win-Win.

Lampard, a poor decision ... see above. It'll be reversed, but the points are gone now.

Bosingwa ... cheating git that he is (remember him diving when barely touched at the Reebok, realising he'd dived over the touchline and diving back onto the pitch ??) ... crackers. Thankfully there was no power & he'll claim it was little move than a shove ... with his feet !! But he'll get a card now.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Blurred, run wild with this:

The Football Association has confirmed that no disciplinary action will be taken against Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa for his challenge on Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun on Sunday.
Shocking decision.

What irked me even more was the guy on SSN saying "...so that's good news".

How? How is it good news?

Interesting that this "decision" slipped out around the time that the transfer window was shutting...not trying to get it lost in the post there then eh?

It didn't even look like a yellow to me since he played the ball before his opponent even got there.

Riley was no more than ten feet away from that. Alonso wants red carding for not complaining. He actually hit Lampard during his triple somersault whilst Lampard obviously got a good foot on the ball. Mind you, with Riley, what do you expect. Man's an alien.
