Cheers Chief. So for £3.00 a month what do I get for that, one DVD a month or summat? (Sorry for being a pest, I'd just rather have the customer's experience than the company's blurb).General Mannerheim wrote:You sign up, go on their website and compile your rental list. No deadlines, no hidden fees or charges. Can't fault it.
May the bridges I burn light your way

nah, no problem. for that you get 2 dvds a month, one at home at a time. Another good thing is you can carry them over, if you dont watch both one month you are entitled to 3 the next. There are quite a few price plans to suit most needs too, and you can rent video games if you need? WtW pays more and gets as many as he wants a month, where as i find two is plenty, what with all my other options!
i really like it and it surprises me when i tell folk about it they dont do it themselves. The LOVEFiLM website is really good too for reviews and trailers etc, and they send you recommendations based on what you have in your list and what you have rated.
Also their list is very impressive. haven't had a search come up negative yet!
...im not on commission either

I sat through that at the cinema when it came out... have to say it would ranks in my list (if I had one!) of biggest hypes/biggest let-down films that I've seen...
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Tonight watched Bombon, el Perro.
Gentle, comic Argentinian movie that meanders sweetly for 95 minutes and finishes inconsequentially.
Man in his 50s loses his job, does a favour for a woman, is given a large hunting dog as a reward, which turns out to be a show winner, and therefore a sure way out of poverty, but proves not able to perform at stud...
I enjoyed... In a kind of three star way...

Fargo is superb, my favourite Coen bros film, after Lebowski of course!
I've just watched 'Irreversible' by Gaspar Noe, and staring Vincent Cassel, who is probably my favourite actor!
Stone me that is one fooked up movie! Its all very twisted, surreal and weird, and takes some getting used to. but strangely compelling, despite the genuinely nauseating brutal violence! And that its French and the scenes are played out in reverse chronological order!
Definitely a good film, but i doubt id put myself through it again, unless i wanted to gage other peoples reations?
VC is superb tho, but not really a film the missus would enjoy...
Caps: you up to date with Nucky & pals? Quality int it!?

On the Coen theme I watched A Serious Man t'other night on Sky and thoroughly enjoyed that one. Fargo is brilliant as well by the way!General Mannerheim wrote:Fargo is superb, my favourite Coen bros film, after Lebowski of course!

We have recently watched all the box sets of this series but were beginning to think it had run its course after 8 years. We were wrong! The last two episodes have been really top class edge of the seat stuff. The best UK TV series bar none!
even better than Ultimate Force? I think not!...
