Re: david wheater
Sorry Bish!
Anyways the more I think about this deal the more I think it could be an excellent one for us.
Wheater seems a proper kind of bloke, from what I've seen of him he likes to go in where it hurts. He's 23, cost just over 3M so I'm told and has already had some England recognition. He sounds like he's found his form again this season, form that initially prompted big bids for him as a 19/20 year old from Spurs I believe. He's had some troubles but hopefully he'll continue his resurgence with us.
Similar to when we got Cahill I think but Wheater has the added bonus of bags of experience. Not as good a footballer but hopefully will be really solid, which is what we need.
Oh and he's proper ugly. A good quality to have in a defender I think.

Fair do's. Northern echo journo's reckon its around about the 3M mark in total and they are normall pretty accurate with what they say as they have a close relationship to clubs up there.Lofthouse Lower wrote:£2.3m with £1.5m on appearances.

Maybe that's some sort of currency conversion based on the fact that they still trade in coal up in the NE

Re: david wheater
FWIW Nixon just posted on the BRFCS board that the fee for Wheater is considerably less than the 2.3M + 1.5M add ons reported, which does not surprise me at all.

Quite. When we first got Cahill I thought he looked like one of those Easter Island heads.BWFC_Insane wrote:Sorry Bish!

Whatever the cost if we shore our defence back up to Fortress Reebok it'll be worth it.

well - that can't be true because Lofthouse Lower assures me it is as follows...BWFC_Insane wrote:FWIW Nixon just posted on the BRFCS board that the fee for Wheater is considerably less than the 2.3M + 1.5M add ons reported, which does not surprise me at all.

Done and sorted. Let's hope he gets him form back and it will be a good bit of business in a position that needed sorting.

I know Nixon is akin to God for you, Mr Insane, but I've had my inside scoop from within the club, so what can you do?

Nixon broke every "twist" in the Wheater story days before anyone else. I only posted it for info, people mock but its a source of info. People will believe what they want.
