BWFC history - free to a good home
I've 'inherited' my father's collection of Bolton away programmes, and I'd like to offer them to any collectors out there. I don't do programme collections myself, my life has enough trivia already ...
My dad hardly ever bought home programmes, but he always bought away ones - and, indeed, some of these have his ticket stapled to them...
I'll send them to anyone who wants them - in random bundles of - say - ten... The oldest is only 1993, so I don't think there's any really rare ones...
There are programmes from the three divisions, cup and play off games - including Wembley and Cardiff - and specials like the final match at Burnden, our first home game after promotion in 95 (basically, he bought home programmes for special occasions)...
Just PM me - I don't want any payment or P & P, I'm happy to cover that, and I'll send internationally if I get the requests from Oz, USA, Korea, wherever... If people gain pleasure from them that's payment enough for me - and would be for him... Indeed, he'd be really happy...
I don't want any specific queries, I'm not going to search the 'archive' - just PM and I'll send you ten randomly-selected programmes originally bought by a Wanderers fanatic of whom I am very proud, and, you know, miss...

A very nice offer, William, and like you say one I'm sure he'd approve of.
None for me, thanks - I don't do the programme-collecting thing, although my sister's still got a cracking vintage 70s Adidas bag full of them from the Armfield/Greaves era.

William. Might I suggest you auction them on ebay and donate the amount raised to the charity/fund of your family's choice?
If you have no ebay facility then I'm more than happy to do it for you.

Thanks for the thought, Bruce, but I've made the offer and requests are starting to come in, so I'll stand by it. And, tbh, I think my dad would like Wanderers fans to get them, especially those that might find it difficult to get to the match.Bruce Rioja wrote:William. No worries, William. The offer still stands should no worthy recipient pitch up.William the White wrote:Thanks for the thought, Bruce, but I've made the offer and requests are starting to come in, so I'll stand by it. Good luck with this Will. I'm not a collector of programmes any more but I'm sure there's many Wanderers out there who will appreciate them. Your dad would be proud.

I've received your PM and replied - you get the final bundle. May not be as many as ten though.TKIZ! wrote:I wouldn't mind a bundle chief, what do I need to do?
So they've all gone folks.
Some to Oz and others far and wide in England.
glad this happened.
They'll be in the post tomorrow, Wed at the latest.
My dad would be pleased.
