Hello from a newbie
Just a quick message to say hello to everyone.
I live in South Wales, and am currently finishing my degree in Nottingham, so I try to get to a decent handful of home games each season, although obviously its a lot more difficult/expensive when I'm at home in South Wales.
Your probably wondering why I'm a Wanderer when I have no obvious link to Bolton (its a question I get asked on a very regular basis!) Well my Dad was born and raised in and around Bolton, and was a lifelong supporter which he passed on to me when I was fairly young. Unfortunately, he passed away nearly two years ago now, but I'm still carrying on the tradition for him. I've even taken my girlfriend to a couple of games and I think I'm slowly converting her!
I've been reading posts on this forum for a couple of weeks now, so thought it was probably time I got a bit more involved. Anyway that's enough about me, just go easy on me when it comes to the Wales V England match later this month!

Welcome to the site. I think you'll find a fair few here have no interest in England so you should be okay. Plus we all liked Gary Speed.

Welcome!
Let's hope we can get to the FA Cup final for your dad!
Agreed Monty, Gary Speed

Welcome aboard Welshwanderer! You'll like it here, I hope.
Bobo the Clown will be particularly delighted. He loves the Welsh. In fact he's pretty much a Welshman himself now! You two will have a special bond - he even lapses into Welsh on here sometimes.
Don't worry, I'm trying to wind him up, not you.
Keep up your dad's tradition, fellow Wanderer!

Re: Hello from a newbie
Thank you for the welcomes.
Keveh: I'm really hoping we can. Heard plenty of stories about the 58 cup final and in particular the 2nd goal! So I'm sure he'd be loving it if we got there again.
Zulus: Don't worry the tradition won't be broken anytime soon! And my children will be carrying on the tradition whether they like it or not!
