There's few on here that could be adapted:

Re: Terrace Songs
Do we have any traditional anthems though? I hate to admit it too but 'Bubbles' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone' are both great songs. I wish we had something similar...welshwanderer wrote:Don't get me wrong, I hate Liverpool with a passion, but I've always been quite jealous of how symbolic You'll never walk alone is to their club. Same could be said for City and Blue Moon. I always think it would be nice if we had a song that would mean so much to the club and be so symbolic, create such an atmosphere on any occasion and always be sung through years and years to come. Something truly unique to our club and to our fans.

If American showtunes pass as "traditional scouse" then I think we've got quite a large scope for picking our own "tradition".Gaz Tomorrow wrote:Do we have any traditional anthems though? You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Aye, and Irish potato famines haven't much to do with Fields of Anfield Road either.Lord Kangana wrote: If American showtunes pass as "traditional scouse" then I think we've got quite a large scope for picking our own "tradition".

Re: Terrace Songs
Surely somebody could put some modern lyrics to this, the fifties Bolton anthem, THE HAPPY WANDERER:

Well now then Robinson
Petrov's in trouble again, ain't he?
I thought as much.
Cos you stood over there
Pointing at people, screaming, before kicking at thin air.
And you don't
laugh or joke around
When Martin don't track back or merely lays down on the ground
You always
Have to have your say
Because you'd probably maim everyone just to get your own way
Your always
argumentative
when you've got Petrov on.
Everything but the game: Because it's not just a game, it's a way of life.
Re: Terrace Songs

Keep lofthouse in my heart keep me BOLTON
keep lofthouse in my heart i pray
keep lofthouse in my keep me BOLTON
KEEP ME BOLTON TILL MY DIE'IN DAY

Re: Terrace Songs
Think we should refrain from any Munich comments. It is beneath us. It's o.k. to hate a team, and Man U are as good a team to hate as any but a tragedy is not something to ridicule. Also you might end up not being able to go to the final as a result.
Re: Terrace Songs
Yeah, don't say Munich.

Re: Terrace Songs
Put words to (K)Nights in White Satin and keep it as our anthem. Could be powerful.

Re: Terrace Songs
The thought of trying to get 27,000 Bolton fans to sing anything much, other than stuff we already sing(!?) is silly. It isn't going to happen, unless maybe you've already arranged choir practice for them all in Bolton Town Square tonight.
