one word, sturridge. failing that (and i sadly think that'll be the case!) id love to see us keep rodrigo, take a punt on rodallega if wigan go down and maybe go for woodgate if hes available on a free..he's abit of a risk with his injuries n all but may be a good, experienced short term replacement.

If his Man Utd career is over, Paul Scholes

It's about time someone taught him how to tackle properly

Woodgate??? Now you're having a laugh. Who on earth is going to spunk 60 grand a week on a player who hasn't managed more than half a dozen starts in the past 8 years??? Fair play to the bloke, he or his agent certainly know how to play the game. He's a class act when fit, but he will never, ever be fit.

Stuart Holden, fit and firing on all cylinders, that's who I'd like to see.

On evidence thus far, Daniel Sturridge.

Don't worry. There are some people who think all fullbacks are shit.

A couple of those are luxury buys (as in, we're not getting them) but I've watched Hutton over the last few years and he's turned into an top notch fullback. He nearly single-handedly dragged Spurs back into the game against us. Krancjar or Pavyluchenko would add some flair but since they're all Tottenham players I can't see any of them costing less than 8 million.

Maybe used to entice us in cash, Cahill + player type scenario?
Pfffft.

We can forget all about Sturridge. He's done superbly for us but when he can't oust Drogba, Anelka or Torres he'll (for me) turn his sights on bigger things maybe abroad. Not saying the sort of wages the three musketeers are on has anything to do with it of course...but, then again, it might have.

I'm from leeds and alot of my friends feel that if they fail to get promoted this season alot of there players will get poached by some of the mid-table premier league clubs. To throw some names out there i'd say snodgrass, johnson or gradel would be realistic!

Krancjar would definitely be nice. It would interesting to see what Pavyluchenko could do with a consistent runout, but I'm not sure I'd like to see the experiment fail here either. Sunderland tried to buy Hutton back from loan and balked at the price so I think it all comes down to the fact that anybody moving from Spurs does so at an inflated price for some reason.

Can't see it happening. :(

Personally I think Coyle will look to sign up the loanees, and continue buying cheaper youth prospects from other teams. It hasn't gone that badly for him either.
