Where will it all end?

Post by Dave Sutton's barnet » Wed May 11, 2011 11:23 am

Our season, that is. We could finish anywhere between 7th and 14th. You can make your best guess using the BBC Predictor. Fill in by Saturday... I've got us losing at Blackpool and drawing with Citeh but still finishing 9th.

I've selected 7th, simply cos I don't think I could bear finishing behind Sto...St...no, I can't say it.

Did the predictor thing - got us 8th (beating Blackpool losing to Man City).

Blackpool, West Ham and Wigan going down.

I had the same BWFC results, lose at Blackpool and draw with City.

But I have that leaving us in 12th.

Although I have half a feeling we might beat Blackpool. Head vs Heart kinda thing. Sort of think Blackpool are destined to go down and somehow that doesn't fit with them beating us. Using my head though and looking at our away form, which is nothing short of disgraceful its hard to see a win there!

I said 9th at the start of the season so I'm going to stick by that.

I got these 3 too, but with us losing to the tangerines.. 9th!
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Evidently you have more faith than I in the teams around us
Villa will get nowt off Arsenal & Liverpool
WBA won't find it easy against Everton then play at Newcastle (they can't both win)
Sunderland host Wolves and travel to West Ham, both of whom will be far more up for it
Newcastle will lose at Chelsea and then host WBA (they can't both win)
Fulham could lose at point-needy Birmingham and at home to Arsenal
Stoke travel to City who need points more and host Wigan who certainly do

God's honest truth, I didn't look that far down the table. It simply didn't occur to me. Ain't that nice?

I don't know why you're all so keen to see West Ham go.

Been saying this for years that we need those annual six points.......makes a hella difference to our finish

Is it keenness, or realism? Let's face it, without Scott Parker they'd have been this year's 20-odd-point-collecting whipping boys.

Why, apart from the Liverpool game has been the one to score last minute winner/equalisers?

Eh? I honestly don't understand that, you seem to have omitted a word or two.

Parker is the writers' player of the year for a reason. Never mind Stevie Me, Parker has been a proper Roy of the Rovers single-handedly inspiring the shambolic players around him. Without him they'd have been down by Easter.

Ah, now you've padded out your answer I follow.....at first I thought you were proposing that without him they'd be bottom in a more literal-ish sense.
