you'd have thought so... or is Coyle's plan to extend Jussi's contract, bring in an experienced but aging no.2 and send young Weasley out on loan to gain experience so that he can then come back and replace Jussi down the line???

Doniéber Alexander Marangon is 31....

Just to add to the Knight discussion...every time the ball goes near him, he scares the shit out of me.

Cahill and Wheater, I don't get that feeling.

Wes Brown, pricey (wages wise) would be a great signing for us.

He's a f ucking diabolically bad footballer and we need to get shut.
I like Knight and he's a better left wing than Petrov! *halo*
LL's judgement of centre-backs embraces the idea that a centre-back pairing of Woodgate and Upson would be part of a decent team...

How could you possibly have come to that conclusion?

I'd advise you, when not chattering about sparrows, to check my recent post history where you'll find comments on both aforementioned stumps.

Alternatively sign Maik Taylor on a free to play the same role and save ourselves a fortune as a bencher. Would be more than capable of stepping in should he need to.
The other option would be to replace the out going Al Habsi with someone to push Jussi on.
If that is the plan with Doni, which would no doubt annoy Bogdan. I'd rather just keep Ali and say goodbye to Jussi.
As long as the wind blows, fortunes can change.

maybe.... but there is no obvious way to say goodbye to Jussi - he doesn't appear to want to go - and nobody is making cash offers for his services...

I think would change should we tell Wigan to do one and Ali he is our future.
Hard on Jussi, who would then look for a move. Him being unhappy would weaken our bargining position but you'd not get much for a player of his age anyway. Freeing his large wages for what will hopefully be a fruitful summer.

Arsenal have signed Chris Samba from Blackburn, along with Gervinho, and they're close to signing Craig Gordon too.

Samba in there does reduce the chance of them taking Cahill, which is alright by me.

Would bet on Modric going to Chelsea, with Sturridge t'other way, we'd never be able to rival Spuds for allure or wages.

City are messing around with the Cahill thing according to Nixon on T'rovers forum they haven't even made a proper bid yet. Need to get things moving hopefully Arsenal will come into play and force Citehs hands. Have heard that the major sticking point is that Mancini wants to keep Onouha or flog him for near 10m which means he can't be part of the deal and Boyata don't want to come so were stuck with expensive swp if OC wants a swap which he appears to though I can't see us taking swp really.

Some of us are still wondering why Bruce Rioch didn't think (the free agent) Anti Niemi was "our kind of player" you know.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
