£8m for Johnson
£10m for that Ruskie
£15m for Fellaini
£12m for Yakubu
£8m for Beattie
£7m for Baines
£7m for Heitinga
£5m for Yobo
etc etc
£50 odd grand a week for Arteta and Cahill....
He has got bargains, definitely, but isn't to be trusted with big bucks

What about the sales though? It's all about the net spend.

Is it bollocks.
He's done well keeping them up, but it's a bit much to suggest he's done so with buttons

Would have to disagree with you. Sure, he's spent a lot, but sold a lot as well.

Rooney? That was to avoid administration in 2004, if memory serves. Lescott perhaps.

Can't be arsed trawling through the net to look, but I don't think it's right he's spent loads without having to sell.

Same when they sold Frannie Jeffers to Arse. They were days from administration when Wenger came in, paid WAY over the odds for a player who went on to re-define "not fulfilling his early promise".Lofthouse Lower wrote:Rooney? Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Wenger seems to really want Jagielka. Wonder if it him being injury prone that excites him so much? At least it will give him more excuses to whine about.

These made me LOL

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
oh dear...

still - at least tiny tears has won some more silverware...Arsenal were booed by their own fans after letting another lead slip to surrender the Emirates Cup to New York Red Bulls.
The response of the 60,000 inside the Emirates Stadium did not bode well for the new season, with the Gunners doing nothing to prove they had cured the frailties which caused their supporters so much suffering last term.

Never fear - they're buying Mata, a 5'7 winger = that'll solve everything
