Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
Jerome is, to a point.
Ten appearances for England U21s and....yep you guessed it, zero goals.
I hate to come across as this negative, really I do, but our survival is dependant on getting in a reliable striker and Jerome isn't anywhere near that. His goal return fluctuates more often than Kerry Katona's waistline. And we all know that deep down she's a fat bitch.

Can't say I didn't tryLofthouse Lower wrote:Fixed for you.wanderers_on_tour wrote:Exactly the same a certain Johan Elmander scored in the 08-09 season no?Lofthouse Lower wrote:He scored 5 goals last season.
Five goals.
If Owen can give the sort of polish to Jerome that he did to Elmo in five games his last season, plus the lower transfer fee and the fact he's only 24 and i think it'll be a good bit of business...
blind faith...
Nope. Not convinced.

I'm with LL here.. He's shite.. He's one of those meatheads that has the ball bobbling around his shins but just bundles past people, he then gets into shooting range and slices it out for a throw-in whilst looking pleased with himself that he got closer than last weeks effort
"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"

Few Brummies fans comments from that website:
My favourite though is:
"cameron jerome -hopefully will get into the england squad -he has the talent but on the whole was not used properley under the great villa manager-i remember watching bob latchford many times missing chances easier than most of the ones jerome has missed-BIG bob didnt have to run the marathon every match like jerome has been asked to do -hopefully wherever jerome will score has many goals has latchford and prove any doubters wrong."
"GOOD LUCK Cameron
It's sad you are going as you didnt get the service you deserved I think the fans that slagged you constantly will see what we could of had if we played attacking rather than defense.."
"A untapped talent.
Given the right support and some confidence the lad could be 'anyting he wants'"
"I think Jerome might have done ok with better service and it seems like he would have got that with CH's style of play.
However the fact is that he has never been prolific for us in the Prem or the Championship and our downfall for so many seasons now has been a lack of goals. This move will be best for both parties and I'm sure he will go on and be a success at Bolton because thats what players seem to do when they leave us"
"I wish Jerome well if he goes.
His strengths are obvious....speed.power,physique.
BUT he lacks two vital qualities...coolness in front of goal, exemplified by Michael Owen and intelligence exemplified by Teddy Sheringham."
"I wish all the players that are in our squad had the same attitude as Jerome.
Never once has he complained
Never once has he moaned
He always gave 110% when he was playing
He could score in the premier league as he did in 2009/10 when he scored 11 league goals
Last season he only scored 3 because he was abandoned on his own up front in a negative defensive minded team
He never hit back at the amount of verbal abuse he received from fans who didn't think he was good enough"
"as for Jerome, if Bolton play to his strengths he could be a very good striker alongside Davies."
My favourite though is:
"if C.H gets 3 m he could get us a decent player(Marvin Emnes,Freddy Eastwood,Gregor Rasiak,Billy Sharpe)"

On this particular subject, I'd rather trust their judgement than yours.Lofthouse Lower wrote:What the f uck do they know....about anything? They can't even talk proper

Can't see why SWP would want to move to Stoke either. If it's about first team football he'd come to us, if it's about money he'd stay at City. No chance he'd play ahead of Pennant.
Anyway, I heard Stoke are going big with a double bid for Crouch and Palacios. Seems their focus lies there.

Re: TKIZ's impossibly brilliant all new Transfer Rumours thr
It's fair enough for you or me to think that, but there's no way SWP is going to sit at home thinking "Can't go to Stoke, I'll never displace Jermaine Pennant". If his self-belief is that low he may as well just give up.jimbo_bwfc wrote:Can't see why SWP would want to move to Stoke either. There's a photo doing the rounds of Palacios' Merc parked up outside the Stoke ground.jimbo_bwfc wrote:Can't see why SWP would want to move to Stoke either. If it's about first team football he'd come to us, if it's about money he'd stay at City. No chance he'd play ahead of Pennant.

He'd be a great signing for them if the £6m fee is accurate. He's shite, but he's better than the shite they've already got.

Aye but guaranteed football here, cos our right winger is injured, or go to a settled Stoke side and battle with an already popular player for his place.Tombwfc wrote:It's fair enough for you or me to think that, but there's no way SWP is going to sit at home thinking "Can't go to Stoke, I'll never displace Jermaine Pennant". FWIW I don't think SWP will happen, he loves City, its the club he started at, and I think he'll stay there unless someone makes him an offer he can't refuse.
As for Jerome, but Nixon and the BN have said recently that its not happening. Think I trust them over the Birmingham Mail!

Nixon on accuracy of Jerome story:
"No. Birmingham now anxious and pushing for a sale. Player not fit. Doesn't help his case."
He also went out of his way to comment on me calling Lou Macari a nice person on a seperate tweet with what can only be construed as agreement to the afformentioned comment on Mr Macari.

I think I'd trust a transfer story about us in the viz more than one in the BeN... Im pretty certain Iles gets his transfer rumours off Tribal....BWFC_Insane wrote:As for Jerome, but Nixon and the BN have said recently that its not happening. Think I trust them over the Birmingham Mail!
Also FWIW, Nixon's not said its not happening, all he's said is the injury makes it less likely... I guess a lot of that depends on the extent of the injury and if Brum are willing to take a hit in price to sell someone with a niggle... given the shite financial state they are in you never know...
