Bolton Wanderers Football Club and Electronic Arts Ltd announce the launch of a new partnership, with EA SPORTS™ becoming an Official Club Partner.

EA SPORTS launches FIFA 12, the most realistic football video game experience on Friday the 30 September. EA SPORTS is one of the leading sports entertainment brands in the world, with top-selling videogame franchises, award-winning interactive technology, global videogame competitions and breakthrough digital experiences.

EA SPORTS will be designing a Bolton Wanderers-specific FIFA 12 game sleeve featuring three star players, which fans will be able to download for free here on the Club website around the launch of FIFA 12.

A purpose-built EA SPORTS gaming trailer will attend selected match days over the course of the season at The Reebok Stadium, so fans can try out FIFA 12 and challenge their friends and family.

Plus there will be a Pro Player Tournament at the training ground to determine which Bolton Wanderers player is the best FIFA 12 gamer.

EA SPORTS creative will also be visible via the Club's LED perimeter board system at home matches.

Nick Harford, Fooball Business Lead at EA SPORTS said: "We are excited to be starting our new partnership with Bolton Wanderers Football Club and will be making a number of FIFA 12 gaming experiences available to both fans and players alike."

Gareth Moores, Commercial Director from Bolton Wanderers Football Club said: "We are delighted to be adding EA SPORTS to our growing partnership portfolio for the 2011/12 season. I am sure that the activation activity that EA SPORTS have planned will be hugely popular with our supporters and players alike and we look forward to supporting their FIFA 12 marketing activity."

Spoilsport.

I do know one of the senior controllers (bean counters) at their offices in Chertsey is a Wanderers fan tho.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

A game sleeve that you have to download and print yourself and a football themed mobile home.

If this is a multi pound deal I'll be amazed.

I wonder if we now have enough stroke to demand slightly realistic player in-game models. I'm sure Gary Cahill is sick of being 'default white man #6' and Fabrice Muamba 'default black man #2'.

Who gives a fu ck, really.

So we've moved on from landmine firms to faceless American corporations = I'm comfortable with that.

Small point on Nasri. He got seven league assists in three seasons at Arsenal. He's got four in two hours at City.
