Once poached, you then use the poaching liquor (the milk) to make the sauce!

if I was cooking some fish to be mashed up with some vegetables for 2 babies, soon to be spat out before being given to the cat and then give them a jar of chocolate mousse to shut them up - I would not be fannying about poaching anything in milk....
Hey! They loved it! 8) according to my mum who fed them as i was out at work

Didn't they have a top ten hit in 1977 with "press your love lumps against mine"?

Spoiltpig bacon (worth the extra pennies from every conceivable angle) and free range eggs (worth the extra pennies from every conceiveable angle) and some Warby's Granary (fecking shite, Jeff).

Did the spicy marinaded chicken wrap with salad and yogurt dish tonight...

Brilliant, quick, easy and nutritious... Excellent... Oh - yeah - the wine was a NZ Chardonnay, chilled dry and half price at the Morrison's round the corner from Bruce [Called 'Crux' and 4.99, Bruce]...

I'm not big on Chardonnay, Will, by any stretch, but will give it a go. I see that Morrison's appear to have done away with our Chilean friend, the bastards.

I've a bottle of Gewürztraminer chilling away in the fridge - spicy food for dinner it is then ;)

Better with shellfish though.

Had chicken pasta followed by apple sponge and custard followed by Halloween Haribo washed down with a bottle of Hobgoblin.

Really? Only ever drank it with spicy stuff to be honest. What about moules then? (then I also have an excuse to have chips and bread ;) )

Scallops, langoustines et al are nice with it. I don't think I've ever tried it with mussels. You might want to try that saffron sauce and mussels with it. Then you can have your chips and bread, and remain sophisticated!

Having pork steaks tonight, but not sure what to have with them - veg or sauce-wise.

Any clues?

Learning to cook is easy, and doesn't take long.

Whereas being a bell-end is a lifetime of learning, as you have proven time and time again.
