Wiggin game
I suggest anyone going gets rat-legged before kick off....
Can see us fluking a draw, at best.
Not sure if I can take another defeat, but we've been an embarrassment since Wembley, so I'm expecting one.

Not seen you post on here for ages till recently, where you been at?!
And yes, I intend to be suitably leathered come kick off.

Re: Wiggin game
For this we really need a big away crowd in full voice to spur the team on to show some fight. At least a draw will help us stop this terrible run we are on, and I will be contemt with that, and a passionate performance. Two weeks to turn this around and get a team out there hungry for three points.
as: I will definately be rat-legged before kick off. Just a question, where's the away pub in Wigan? Usually have a few in Bolton, but will be in Wigan early this year. I always dread the DW, but end up there every year. COYW.

It'll be 0-0 til 89th minute, we'll laud our new defensive line up with a midfield of Ricky, Fab, Pratters, NRC and Eagles...and then a clanger will gift the points to the pies at the death.

I tend to find that simply by adding the letters e and d to the end of most nouns, it serves to describe the condition of inebriation.thebish wrote:has "rat-legged" replaced "rat-arsed" among the yoof? or is it summat different?

It's no longer at the Howcroft it's now at Bolton rugby union club. I'm going on the Friday so I'm going to be extremely hungover/still pissed during the game, which should make up from the pretty much guaranteed 0-0 it's going to be.P.O.S. wrote:Its the beer festival at the Howcroft that night too isnt it?
Re: Wiggin game
Head for the town centre in Wigan, loads of Bolton fans about and never any bother.
Forgot all about the beer fest, I hope she doesn't mind staying at home with my unborn child while I go on a horrific all-weekender

Re: Wiggin game
Am I the only one that thinks Eagles should be one of the main features in our starting eleven? At least until Lee is back and in amongst it. Despite all his attacking prowess Lee always worked hard for the team defensively and I don't think Eagles is an all too shabby replacement in many departments. It Looked like he played on the left towards end of the chelsea game, as to "cover" Robinson with Petrov on the right with the more defensively competant Boyata and, although the match was long gone, we seemed to hold out and plug a few holes up at the back.
My team for Wigan would be;
--------------Bogdan (I know, I know but now he's in he needs games to get some confidence/experience)
Boyata---Knight---Cahill---Robinson
--------Muamba---NRC------------
Petrov---Pratley/Tuncay---Eagles--
--------------N'Gog----------------

Re: Wiggin game
Petrov on the right is more useless than he already is on the left. Maybe should try Robbo on the right. I've seen him play well there a few times.

Re: Wiggin game
If we MUST play Petrov, how about having Boyata at left back?

Re: Wiggin game
Or we could keep Boyota at CB and put Ricky G at LB.

How can you judge when he's had 45 minutes there in one of the poorest performances we've managed against one of the top sides?boltonboris wrote:I'm all for Rikky playing at LB but Boyata at CB?
