I don't think two gay cousins really need to worry too much about their progeny.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I don't understand why low-to-medium paid people vote Tory, but many of them must do it, especially in the south-east.
Puppet and Paymasters springs to mind William.
BTW I am far removed from being a "Tory" voter as a matter of course but after watching the crass stupidity of the last lot and the way the far left (commies in disguise) manipulate the manifesto and direction of Labour policy I find it not appealing to vote Labour. I know it's peoples apathy that allows the formulation and growth of these minority groups but the sheer size and clout they wield is frightening. Who really honestly thinks that my pet hate Harriet and her policies would be were they are but for this? Ever been to a union branch meeting were one man, his dog and the caretaker have been all thats needed to vote through backing for a very active vocal Labour candidate or for support to get votes for cabinet (or shadow) posts? Or been at one of the local Labour club meetings with descions virtually endorsed but for the window dressing? I have in the past and can only liken it to the way Sadam and others operated without the guns!
Nice learning curve for a wannabe planet leader

The unions are controlled in what they do by Tory legislation.
Just remind me, because I'm getting old, what legislation controls the interests that Liam Fox's mate is representing? Who's interests precisely are they? These shady folk that pay him retainers? What broad cross section of our society are they representing?
What? No idea? And not controlled by any legislation?
How bizarre - more out of control that Labour, I'd say.

Fox has quit:

Re: The Politics Thread
You know, Worthy, about how you very occasionally get a tad pedantic about other people's posts? I'm resisting, because it's Friday, the temptation to say she wasn't Gordon's constituent, and she wasn't plural. Ooops slipped out...Worthy4England wrote:Probably on about a par with calling constituents bigoted women...thebish wrote:how crassly stupid is it to stuff your constituents' letters in a park bin?????Worthy4England wrote:thebish wrote:ratbert wrote:

Re: The Politics Thread
Given it's Friday, I won't mention then, that I didn't suggest she was Gordon's constituent, I suggested that binning constituents letters was on about the same par as the act of calling constituents bigoted women. As ever IMHO.
Enjoy your sardines.
Oh happy to acknowledge I should fall foul of the apostrophe police

Re: The Politics Thread
I'll wager it is more crassly stupid to stuff constituents letters in a park bin in full view of the public in broad daylight.
if one was to compare it to (say) Gordon Brown's comments about a constituent - then a closer comparison would have been for him to stuff them in an office bin where he was confident he might not have been seen.
had Brown displayed the same level of crass stupidity he'd have made the comments into a live public mic on stage before waiting to get into the car and (with some justification) thinking he could now make the comments safely.

he apparently wrote his resignation last week, but gave the letter to Oliver Letwin & it went missing.thebish wrote:Liam Fox has resigned in order to spend more time with his adviser...
OK, I'm off this thread now.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Just an article explaining that David Cameron is in actual fact a lizard! Can't see any confusion there!
