Just an idea on the gas/elec prices thing, how about the government starting their own company that is run properly, efficiently and at a reasonable price then any profits could be ploughed back into the country!

I think the bit in bold is where an otherwise good idea falls down.Raven wrote:Just an idea on the gas/elec prices thing, how about the government starting their own company that is run properly, efficiently and at a reasonable price then any profits could be ploughed back into the country!
Have you ever done business with a government department?

Have you ever done business with Eon? Npower? etc etc etc.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:I think the bit in bold is where an otherwise good idea falls down.Raven wrote:Just an idea on the gas/elec prices thing, how about the government starting their own company that is run properly, efficiently and at a reasonable price then any profits could be ploughed back into the country!

Fantastic models of well run and efficient companies I'm sure......
But it's ok cos they are only making what? 800% profit or something whilst old people freeze to death in their homes.
Mind that's the Tory way, Camerons probably hanging round those old peoples homes waiting for the cold snap so he can suck their blood and steal their valuables to give to some needy banker!

Well, seeing as you ask - yes, I have worked with Eon, and yes I did find it much better run than the government departments i have worked with (the Department for Transport and the Home Office).BWFC_Insane wrote:Have you ever done business with Eon?
