Out of interest, how much would it have cost you to have them treated in the unlikely event that they actually copped for whatever it is that you've just had them immunised against?Gooner Girl wrote:Vets. £93 for my 2 cats to have their jabs today. Now i know when you take on animals you have a responsibility to their health and fair enough, no probs, but the £93 was after i had politely declined the flea and worm treatment and the special dental food (both far cheaper online) and the 'Life begins at 7' Club.
Begining to think i should have married one...

May the bridges I burn light your way

it's a scam (IMHO!) - you only need it for insurance and to leave them in a cattery... (tho my dog is insured in case she gets out and causes a huge road crash! and she isn't vaccinated...)Gooner Girl wrote:Apparantly you can't get insurance without them having their jabs? The cats are in the very best of health and not at all overweight which she said was very rare - though she was very snooty about the state of their transport!thebish wrote:Gooner Girl wrote:Vets. £93 for my 2 cats to have their jabs today. I've told you many times - that vet rips you off time and time again!! i stopped getting jabs for my dog ages ago - fecking waste of time and money if you ask me... Old dutch lived for years without annual jabs and so does Lucky... and apart from Dutch getting run over by a car (which a jab wouldn't prevent) and lucky tearing half her side off on a nail (which, again, wouldn't have been prevented by a jab) they have been the very picture of health... (ok - so Dutch was a bit fat! - but Lucky isn't!)
pah!

What good would marrying a cat do?

My cat lived for 19 years. The occasional trip to the Vet for stitches and antibiotics was far less than annual insurance and regular jabs.

I signed you up for the Gold mailing club - remember? it was that weekend we spent up there and you insisted on going round the Reebok experience and the Nat Lofthouse exhibition...Gooner Girl wrote:Oh and i'm also angry about the Bolton Wanderers merchandising department sending me their catalogues. Use fairy liquid and a bit of deodorant. Be reet.
