I have not yet bought sausages, you are correct Bruce! so it may well be just yorkshires, I have not decided if I have time to nip into the village and get some from the butchers. And yes Bish, aunt Bessie is usually my friend but all these recipes and a brand new egg laying chicken have left me quite inspired!

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
I'm on my own for a week... wife in London with aged parents needing attention. I have a boeuf bourgignon slowly oozing its way towards being ready about 11.00pm...
Timing might not be perfect here...
And I haven't had red meat for months, and i've cooked enough for three days... This may not be the most sensible choice...
apart from there's burgundy left in the bottle... But not for much longer...

Just having a Highland Park while I fashion a card on Moonpig for my grandad's 100th birthday.
Unfortunately he popped his clogs over 30 years ago but my gran's still around, so she'll be receiving it on his behalf.

If you'd used my methodology, they wouldn't have.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I so hope that is literally true in every detail and not some episode of Rab C everyone else but me remembers...Little Green Man wrote:Just having a Highland Park while I fashion a card on Moonpig for my grandad's 100th birthday.

That said, any post that starts 'just having a Highland Park' wins my approval even if the rest is total lies...

Sorry GG, I forgot this recipe was for you.
Put a little oil in each section and heat for 5 minutes before putting batter in. Then bake in the oven for 15 to 20 mins. at gas mark 8 or 220 electric (210 if fan assisted).
Take out of oven (use oven gloves as the tray will be hot)
Remove puds from tray and place on plate alongside other high calorific foodstuffs and enjoy. Remember, they will be hot so perhaps consider employing cutlery to render the pud into bite size pieces.

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
to be fair, though, the whole discussion stemmed from your assertion that your recipe for Yorkshires never worked!Bruce Rioja wrote:Gooner Girl wrote:3, Bruce. Gary, bish and LKs recipes - unless I missed another?!Bruce Rioja wrote:100g plain flour, 1 free range egg, 350ml mix of milk and water
(and now - in GG's hands - my recipe has failed too!)
