It's our 20th wedding anniversary today. Since I appear to have chosen the wrong football team to support and I certainly chose the wrong career path, it's nice to know I can get some things right :D

Finding this whilst having a much needed paper clear-out. Little Lever Labour Club FC. Dated Friday 3rd July 1998. Made me smile. I remember he had one of his famous black and white draughtboard jackets on and was in good form:

Two types of potatoes? How posh is that?

Judging by the rest of the menu I guess that would either have been green and grey or possibly cold and lumpy.

Can't remember LGM. Been to a few gentlemens' evenings and the food was generally quite simple but decent. It must have been posh cos we had cheese and biscuits and coffee and mints, or so it says on the menu.

It was WW. Some of the other were very good too. Funniest incident happened at a Paul Allott night though. First prize in the raffle was a signed cricket bat and was won, to loud boos, by young Michael Axford. One of his mates won another prize, which was a handsaw donated by Axfords. Young MA went to the toilets and got back in time to see his mate just on the point of sawing the cricket bat in half.

Happy that Bolton match is on live

They have left out.......:
Wigan Athletic v Blackburn Rovers

a Lancashire Derby! What idiots!

But I am thankful and I think our match is on partly because of my sob email to them after last game!!!
