Watched a repeat of HIGNFY. Used to think Louise Mensch was fit. Have now heard her talk. No longer think Louise Mensch is fit.
In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Oh it is ace Bish. Seeing what people cook. Last nights lot were not as good as the previous nights...thebish wrote:am gonna watch that in a mo... haven't watched it since Lloyd Grossman was in charge!Bruce Rioja wrote:Just about to watch it - you have me intrigued!BWFC_Insane wrote:Masterchef.....what the hell was that roar about?
but have told myself that if Bruce raves about it, it can't be total shoite... so it'll be Bruce's fault if I get sucked in and then end up watching endless episodes..
(on a slightly related note - just got home from loooooong meeting to find house full of gas - reeking of gas!! The missus had put middle son's dinner in th'oven cos he'd nodded off and wasn't looking well... she put it on very low and it must have blown out or not lit in the first place...)
I'm assuming its worse still tonight as they have even fewer places to give away!
Masterchef judge must be up there on the dream job list!

Saw the same. Pretty enough and I guess, deep down, she's not dim ... but went in their determined to show how witty she was & was as out of her depth as I would be swimming the mid Atlantic.Prufrock wrote:Watched a repeat of HIGNFY. Silly girl.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It was Marcus Bigcock. With Jodie Prenger who has quite a voice and does over the top marvellously. Good quality, yet simple staging.clapton is god wrote:You'll enjoy that! Saw it in Manchester a couple of years ago, with Marcus Brigstocke too, and it was tremendously silly.bobo the clown wrote:Well, I'm of to that Liverpool (yuk) to see Spamalot (hooray).
I'll let you know.
The place was barely half full, which is a shame. I suspect the demand is waining.
It was OK. Nothing special, yet still worth seeing. High energy from the cast ... with Patsy the horse being Todd Carty. That's just Tucker's Luck I guess.
Glad I saw it, wouldn't queue up for a second watch I suppose.
Anyway, I think I knew the script by heart. If anyone had been taken ill I think I could have understudied. It remains funny and my favourite was the 'Knights who say "Ni !!" ' which was, back in the day, my intended name for this site but for some reason I couldn't make it work at the time. Still, that's clowns for you !!

I watched "Tallhotblond", about a three-way internet romance that ended up in a real-life murder

She is absolutely dreadful. That HIGNFY performance was incredibly cringeworthy but that's just the tip of the iceberg.bobo the clown wrote:Saw the same. Still would though, obviously....

Friend of a friend went to the HIGNFY broadcasting. Apparently they left the worst bits on the cutting room floor...Hislop's "oh I can't be bothered" came after a few minutes of her making a douche of herself. She's an imbecile.
Bit odd that she married Metallica's manager, though.

PS - how long has this craze for serving stuff with "foam" or "froth" been going on? it just looks like sick... the green ones especially look like when a cat has been eating grass and sicks it up...

Good heavens, Man.

That foamy stuff - a cat's spewkings from it having cleaned its teeth by chewing grass, is now a 'veloute'.

Velouté de persil-rave, émulsion aux herbes
(roughly translated as...
the cat's been sick and then done a wee in some very thin chicken soup...
