You shouldn't be watching the telly. You should be undertaking intensive training prior to your streak around Sussex.

None of you live in Sussex sadly, so it will go undocumented. You'll just have to take my word for it!Hoboh wrote:Gooner Girl wrote:Long way to the end of the season yet!Zulus Thousand of em wrote:As if you would get off that lightly!Gooner Girl wrote:Haven't you forgotten about that yet?!Zulus Thousand of em wrote:You shouldn't be watching the telly. Felt sorry for them 5,000 Arsenal tonight, shocking performance. Why did he have Oxtail on the bench? Bizarre decision.

Hardly surprising. Arsenal aren't a very good team. AC Milan are.

He went 4-3-3/4-5-1 Van Persie in the middle with Walcott and Rosicky miles away from him so didn't get any service 1st half and Milan kept there full backs tight on them so were fcuking useless. They took Walcott of at half time and brought on Henry to go 4-4-2 which backfired because Milan scored again 4 mins into the 2nd half shite defending yet again cost them dear. Oxtail came on for the last 25 mins and did really well but the game was over to be honest but he had the beating off both full backs for pace so why Wenger didn't start the lad is a mystery. 2 players that stood out like boils what needed to be drained were Ramsey and Arteta who loves slowing the game down to a snail's pace, 4-0 to Milan was a fair result.Worthy4England wrote:Not seen it, but did he go with a 4-4-2?Jokers in White wrote:Felt sorry for them 5,000 Arsenal tonight, shocking performance. That was his mistake, right there. Plain as the nose on yer face. If he hadn't sold Muamba, he'd have been reet with a 4-5-1.Jokers in White wrote:He went 4-3-3/4-5-1 Van Persie in the middle with Walcott and Rosicky miles away from him so didn't get any service 1st half and Milan kept there full backs tight on them so were fcuking useless. Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
Although you speak in jest there were plenty parallels to recent bolton failures in arsenals game. They played a high line with slow defenders who couldnt match the pace and mobility of their opponents and had a midfield capable of maintaining possession but without any real ball winners(half a parallel I know). Arsenal tapped it backwards and forwards across the front of a deep lying bank of eight with no penetration and when they eventually lost it milan where always two quick passes away from being in on goal.It wasnt really about formations but was about personel.A poor defence with no real protection in midfield. They stuck to their principles but tactically were totally out thought oh and they brought on an aging but rather immobile hero for half the game in the hope he had some magic beans hidden in his shorts.Worthy4England wrote:That was his mistake, right there. They also have a stubborn principled manager who fails to address the importance of the less pretty side of the game and has lost the key players who made his previous approach work and failed to replace them or adapt his approach to compensate for the loss. So there are plenty parallels albeit on a totally different level. His post match rantings about failure to perform were painfully familier as was his failure to admit that tactically he had been totally out thought.
