Homemade cheese scones straight out the oven are an absolute delight. The best type of scone going I promise.Bruce Rioja wrote:Cool. I'm all for trying one - it's just that when given a choice of the two side by side.........Gooner Girl wrote:
You weirdos! Cheese scones are delicious! Nicer then fruit ones. I'll bring some to the next Arsenal - Bolton match and prove it to you.
I've had a cherry scone, but remain a sultanas kind o' guy
Do people put anything on cheese scones btw? Butter or owt? Gravy perhaps? Ohhhhhh
Cut in half and put lashings of salted butter on and perhaps a think wedge of mature cheddar as well.
Heaven.

You haven't had my mum's fruit scones straight out the oven, Buddy Boy. As such, your opinion is null and voidBWFC_Insane wrote:

I made a pork balti last night, and I've the other half of it to eat to night. Problem with it is there must have been that much water in the pork loins that the sauce is like piss water. Might sack it off.

So is the sauce tasteless or just too runny?Bruce Rioja wrote:I made a pork balti last night, and I've the other half of it to eat to night. Problem with it is there must have been that much water in the pork loins that the sauce is like piss water. Might sack it off.
If just too runny then why not just bring the sauce to the boil, and add a teaspoon or two of cornflour dissolved in water? Will thicken it up nicely.

Well, I spotted a pair of pig's trotters today & for all of £1.73 for the two. So, having reached these advanced years supporting Notlob and never having eaten them I though "why not ?".
Though, looking at them after an hour v slowly boiling I admit to thinking ... "why ?"
But it's about time I found out.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
