If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

It's American. It's when you get money off coupons from papers/magazines etc. The extreme part is when their total shop costs $2,000 and using coupons get it to $5. Riveting!

Friends/family save them for them. They also go "dumpster diving". It's another word.

Where the hell do they go ???
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Its a mystery. I refuse to sort Mr GG's - they're all various shades of boring black and he doesn't care if they don't match anyway. (I do care, but not enough to spend time sorting them given i have to do mine and the twins.) My odd sock drawer is fuller then my paired sock drawer...

Indeed - I may well mock, but the mother of a family that I used to deliver milk to in the eighties was a competition-o-holic. If there was a competition on a product - she was in there. Anyway, turns out that she'd basically kitted their house out from top to bottom (inc. decor and carpets) in competition winnings.
One Friday I turn up to collect that week's brass to be told by her son "We move tomorrow so don't leave any more now". Of course, I asked "Where are you moving to?" which turned out to be outside the area, but the upshot was that she'd won a brand new house.

Seem to remember Granada Reports doing a piece on her at the time, too.

The worst day was when half of a "years supply" of Andrex turned up. Couldn't shift for bog rolls.

A woman near my mum's, in the late 50's or early '60's won a (summer !!) holiday to Switzerland & £50 to spend (a fair sum in the day I guess) for winning a slogan competition.

Of course, the terms meant she gave over the rights to ..... " ... and hands that do dishes can be as soft as your face with mild, green, Fairy Liquid".

To be fair the Company did, many years later, give her a cheque for a bit more.
