Banana hot cakes for breakfast today, simple and very tasty.

You're up early on a Sunday aren't you?

Banana hot cakes sound good. How do you make em?

Mr GG looks after the twins saturday morning whilst i have a lie in (if you can call 8.15 a lie in - which i never used to...) so i have to do the early slot on a sunday

Banana hot cakes (i halved the quantities of this recipe and it made 5 hot cakes so you might want to do that too depending how many you are feeding and how hungry you are!)

2 large eggs
4 bananas
2tbsp natural yoghurt
80g plain or wholemeal flour
50gr Porridge oats
1 tsp baking powder

A little butter

Beat the eggs together.

In a seperate bowl, mash the bananas til smooth and then add the flour, baking powder, eggs, oats and yoghurt. Stir well.

Melt the butter in the frying pan and add a couple of tablespoons of the mixture for each hot cake, spacing them apart. Fry for 2/3 min on each side until lightly browned.

Serve warm with a little butter spread on top.

went for a big party-dinner today at the Plum Valley Thai Restaurant...

an all-you-can-eat joint - you just order as many dishes as you want off the menu - starters - then main course then puddings - and keep ordering as long as you like..

we were in there from about 12:30 until about 4pm

am hungry now though.....

Tonight, after a rather tasty veggie goulash, I decamped to a nearby Sainsbury's Local for some chocolate digestives to dunk in my tea. I returned with something I thought no longer existed. Such was my excitement that my shout of joy stopped the shop; Garibaldi biscuits. Oh how I love that dead fly crispy mushiness..........

The only really good burger that I've ever eaten was at the Copper Cow in Chiswick. They're hand made on the premises from minced steak and cooked to your liking. Medium rare. Outstanding. With mature cheddar, crispy bacon and Jenga chips. Nom, nom, and indeed, nom!

I'm not a burger fan. Thought GBK was as good as those chains do. Bay Horse Pork and Beef is AWESOME though.

I have memories of the original Wimpy burgers, just a plain burger on a toasted bun with a dash of mustard, being pretty decent. Long before the likes of McDonalds started soggyfying them though.
