I remember working in NI just after the Good Friday Agreement. Driving through Mallusk, one half was decked out in Palestinian flags and the other in Israeli, the wankers!

But they are all Irish as they were born in Ireland. Whether it's NornIron or the Republic it's still Ireland Some may also refer to themselves as British as an extra. In the same way as I was born in England and am therefore English, and British.
