Re: Chris Eagles
Should be played centrally. Doesn't have the speed for the wing but good on the ball and has an eye/confidence for a shot.
Would solve the issue of Lee, Petrov and him in a starting lineup.

As for playing inverted wingers (lefty on the right, righty on the left), it helps give you options for passing and shooting but it loses you width unless you get the full-backs to bomb on, which leaves you more open at the back unless you've got two diligent holding midfielders. So not Mark D, then.
Re: Chris Eagles
i know eagles is not very popular but i think he is one of our best players and am thinking of getting his name on next seasons shirt. i think he will improve alot next season but he is definatly better as an attacking midfielder than a winger. he is just to lazy to play out wide
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Riley---signing---Ream---Ricketts
------signing---Holden--------
Lee-------Eagles------Petrov
---------Davo/Ngog----------
Would be my line up
Mark Davies in for Eagles, put prefer Eagles on the basis he shoots, given the centre forward
Re: Chris Eagles
Sooo no room for Sordell then?officer_dibble wrote:------------Bogdan-----------Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:...but sounds dangerously like Mark Davies continuing in 'central' midfield.Jakerbeef wrote:Should be played centrally. Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Chris Eagles
As an interesting aside. D-Prats was highly rated when in the Championship, Sordell likewise considered a top dog, and I remember reading Burnley Fans' thoughts on losing Mears and Eagles what with them both being considered "big players".
I know its cold comfort, but we have a decent set of players for this level. If we f*ck up this time, there can be little excuse.

You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Re: Chris Eagles
I'm pretty optimistic that Muamba will play for us again. As serious as what happened to him was, there seems to be a fairly good recovery rate if it's treated, as Muamba has been. Maybe it'll take another 6 months before he starts training but I do think we'll see him play for us again.
