Nice to see that Coyle's getting on with addressing the major issues first then, hey?BWFC_Insane wrote:This guy has been signed to play in the reserves according to Nixon and won't see the first team. A 'prospect'.

No prospects in our academy then, who we've spent years and money on developing.
Meh.
Anyway, not the lad's fault, good move for him, wish him the best.

You mean a ball-winner to replace Muamba and a centre-half to cover for Wheater? If only he'd focussed on that eh?CrazyHorse wrote:Nice to see that Coyle's getting on with addressing the major issues first then, hey?

Not his fault? What sort of sentimental liberalism is that?ohjimmyjimmy wrote:No prospects in our academy then, who we've spent years and money on developing.

I shall be attending all reserve matches purely to boo him.

Hopefully Coyle hasnt forgotten about Vela..I've no issue with signing youngsters but his pedigree doesn't scream 'good signing'. Still its an area we look light in and if there is a chance he develops that can only be good. We will see.

And some other transfer gossip:

Longeran at Leeds.
Seems a strange one - is he really better than Bogdan? Is he going to be happy, at his age, sat on the bench?
We'd have been better off with Brian Jensen. Or Claus Jensen. Or David 'Kid' Jensen.

I should think the older you get a nice sit down is exactly what you want!
But this rumour has been around for ages so there must be something in it.

I can't see Bogdan being anything other than #1 at the start of the season. This Lonergan chap is bound to be backup/cup keeper, surely?Puskas wrote:And some other transfer gossip:

That's my point - he's not old, is he? Late 20s. I could have seen us going for an experienced type, happy to sit on the bench. To provide back-up and maybe do some coaching with the younger up-and-coming keepers.ohjimmyjimmy wrote:I should think the older you get a nice sit down is exactly what you want!

But someone in their 20s? Who'll want to to be starting?

Maybe he thinks he can challenge and establish now that Jussi's gone, and also that we have abtter chance than Leeds of going up?

££££££'s or Warnock will provide the obvious answer.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

So we shouldn't be signing the likes of Robbie Blake to just sit on the bench and make up the numbers but we should be signing a keeper who will be happy to sit on the bench and make up the numbers?Puskas wrote:I could have seen us going for an experienced type, happy to sit on the bench. Isn't that obvious?
Although I've never commented on Robbie Blake, so you're guessing on my opinions.
But you're right. Yes.
