Was invited on a club run this morning. Coops dozen - an 18 mile trek over Rivington & Belmont running up to 12 landmarks -Winter Hill, the Pike etc. Jeez, one of the toughest runs I've ever been on. We were out for over 4 hours and it took me nearly an hour to get the mud off.

If they invite me next year I might tell em to shove it up their ar5e

Sounds tough. Did my monthly 5k handicap yesterday. Finished in 21:12 which is 8 seconds outside my PB. Looking forward to Leverhulme Park next week.

Nice one :oyea: Doing a loosener tomorrow then I've got a 4.5 mile trail race Wednesday. Hill session Thursday and hopefully be fresh for Saturday. Looking at your times G we should be pretty close to one another at the finish, although my fastest park run at Leverhulme is a good 20 secs outside your pb. I'll give you a buzz Thursday/Friday?

Sounds good. As I don't know the course I'll just try and hang on to your coat tails. No expectations on this one.

Pissed off with myself that I've absolutely no chance of this - and it's all my fault for not keeping on top of it.

Am going to go back into thebish's original running plan, at week six (starting when I get home).

Sorry guys - I would have loved to.

Could do. All over bar the shouting by 09:30 so a quick nosebag would be good. You know that area better than me so suggestions would be appreciated.

HG?

I think there are a couple of little places on Bury Rd, in fact, I'm sure there are.

Great shout on the Brekky Bruce - pity you're not quite ready for the run though, although I'm sure you'd surprise yourself if you decided to have a bash.

Well done GtE

I did 2 miles tonight in far too slow a time for me to repeat on here. Over a hilly course but well over a minute smiling slower then last year :( I am knackered. Sooo unfit. I hope they treat us gently at footy training tomorrow. Just had to have an icecream to recover.

there's your problem - trying to smile while you run! A gurning grimace is much better I find!

Can I come to the breakfast, or do you have to be able to run, at least in theory?
