I've seen every appearance of Eric Clapton at the MEN but tickets for his show next year went on sale this week. At £75 they can stick 'em up their collective jacksies!Bruce Rioja wrote:£40 a ticket to watch Lisa Stansfield? £40 a ticket to watch Ultravox (in the Gods with restricted legroom). Not sure I'd pay that to see a back-from-the-dead Hendrix & Kossoff.
OK, I would, but not when they came around quite regularly.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Bobo - NoWas their first lesson and had arranged it weeks ago when they phoned me and i stupidly didn't take their number assuming they would just turn up.
Then the lesson learnt was yours, methinks.

Indeed, normally i get an email adress or something to confirm but was a bit harrassed by children when answering the phone and have been inundated with people wanting private lessons at the moment - which is great! But means i spend most of my weekend in the pool!

C'mon ..... positive thought, positive thoughts.
A nice business plan in leafy Sussex with all the yummy-mummies. You should keep a list of the names you are teaching. I bet there aren't many David's or Ann's !!

Far less stressed - and more hours there for the future if i want them i suspect... Was a good move. Suits me for now with a young family. May get bored of just doing swimming long term and want to return to teaching PE but for now am happy!bobo the clown wrote:But more in control that while at the school and, dare I guess, more earning potential too !Gooner Girl wrote:Noone calls their child David or Ann anymore. Feel for you GG. I get exactly the same with counselling clients. 3 didn't turn up last week but as its a free service I can't even charge them. They've been shoved to the bottom of my list though.

I lived across the road from Bernard Whitaker, whom owned the store on Deansgate. He called his two children David and Ann(e). Of course they were born in the 1940s.Gooner Girl wrote:Noone calls their child David or Ann anymore.
