Coyle IMO would have benefited from having Lee and Philips being more involved in the first team. It was clear that since FA Cup semi final there has been something wrong, a change of back room staff may have helped Coyle but anyway that's in the past, good luck to Freedman and Lawrence

When oi was in the navy, the adopted ship of Bolton was HMS Dido and Farnworth Sea Cadets was first TS Emerald and then TS Fife so we've had quite a connection with the RN over the years, and the Army too, part of the Loyal Regiment being based at the drill hall in Farnworth after their return from Korea. Oh, and you do steer a ship. Driving is deffo landlubberish gay.

This is great news. I do remember lawrence as the man who got charlton into the big time. He is a knowledgeable steady hand( no doubt hence the steering analogy) Freedman clearly sees it as a partnership. Refreshing after the egoentric nonsense of the previous manager.
