Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?
Been up to Carmelos in totty, used to go a lot but it really went down hill, it's just reopened after a lick of paint and its walking distance so gave it a bash. Very meh. Nothing wrong with the Nosebag but nothing great about it either. Just little things like paper table clothes and paper napkins that bug me. Them little shit wraps of butter rather than served in a pot, things like that.

cut it up, add some mushrooms, vatload of guiness, fry it for an hour, encase it in pastry Boom.boltonboris wrote:Got a fvckload of Flank steak from Costco (£13 for 1.7kg).
Was thinking of doing a pie, but I don't think it 'cooks' well.
Am I best chucking a dusting of flour on it and frying it up?

Made jerk chicken last night with spicy rice. Probably the ultimate comfort food.

I'd add stock and some flour to that pie. Otherwise a) it might be bitter with all the guiness and no counterbalance b) surely it'll be runny as hell?boltonboris wrote:My first thought was pie.. Just had a cup of Lapsang Souchong tea. Lovely .... even if it's a little like I'm sitting by a bonfire & breathing in the smoke while supping a tea.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

The day doesn't start right until it tastes of Lapsang Souchong - one of us makes, both drink. While still in bed...
