I had to guess Bowmore & Urqhart.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I'm not sure what the rules are so this is a little hard. From Bobo's answer do you have to pick four groups of four things with a common thread?Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Go on then, get practicing (here's one I made up):mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote: For those who give the slightest shit what we're on about - we've applied to be on a quiz show called 'Only Connect', hosted by Victoria Coren, and we have now got as far as a screen test audition.

You can have a go at them on this website, monty. Similar theme, and yes, you do have to get four groups from the random 16 clues, only one possible answer

1. Kinds of boot? (There is a Wellington County in Canada).
2. Castles.
3. Scotch (Tobermory spelled wrong).
4. Islands? Off the coasts of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland respectively?

The first are pubs. Otherwise you're right.
The Duke of Cambridge, The Duke of Argyll, The Duke of Devonshire, The Duke of Wellington.
Great boozers, all of them.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
I guess there is a Duke of Cornwall pub too - that's a tough one for foreigners. I knew there was Devonshire boot, which equestrians wear, as well as Argyll and Wellington boots - I was just hoping Cornwall had one. They are all counties but not all in the UK.bobo the clown wrote:The first are pubs. Otherwise you're right.
