Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ever

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

That was a freak result though as far as judging their overall quality, Chelsea were hanging on for penalties from kick off. They've since added Martinez for £30m and Mandzukic who can't stop scoring, but most impressive is their mental state following the final last year, they could have felt sorry for themselves but they're a machine. Apparently they went just 4 hours without conceding a shot on goal recently

We'll see what happens in the CL I suppose. Anyway hell of a performance by Milan tonight. Remember their early season form - they were about 16th or something..

To be fair, so did Barca.

Slightly surprising result but it seems Milan took a leaf out of Chelsea's book. Stifle Barcelona and then wait for a defensive lapse. It's not much of a chance but they can be gotten at when they become frustrated and their other 'tricks' don't see them through. Could get a completely different type of ref for the Camp Nou though...

Bayern have it this year if they want it. Reminds me of the Man Utd final where they dominated and lost that, like against Chelsea. After that game they came back a few years later and got the job done against Valencia, in a cracking final that went to penalties. I can see them doing it again. They seem to be a team that respond well to disappointment. Never right off ze Germans!

Hmmm....so, better than Juve, Milan, PSG?
Ofcourse they are, Milan are not even that good anymore (although they were superb last night), Juve and PSG do not suddenly become the 3rd team in the world in one season by spending a load of money. Bayerns easily better than those 3. I do not think you understand that the Bundesliga has probably never been better than it is now. Dortmund are possiblyter than those 3 teams as well.

I did not see Madrid or Barca in last years champions league final, did you? the spanish league and Premiership is weakening by the second, in 3 years time I guarantee the bundeliga will be the best league in the world without and realistic doubt.

The point I am making is Barca and Madrid cannot be all that,if neither of them reached the UCL final. I am also making the point that due to the fact that german clubs do not have debt they are going to have no problems meeting the financial fair play regulations unlike most of the other elite sides from the best leagues in europe. they also (the germans) have the advantage of having the bestyouth policy in the world meaning they have to pay next to nowt for top players (such as Thomas Mueller, Manual Neuer, Phillip Lahm, Toni Kroos, Mario Gomez and Bastian Scwiensteiger) meaning that Bayern have 6 players all of whom are regular starters for Germany, who by the way are one of the best national teams inthe world.

And all this has about as much to do with Arsenal as... what?

Looking increasingly likely GG that you'll not be celebrating St. Totteringham's day this year. You'll need a win for sure today. [Edit] tomorrow.

of course they will - and they will finish above spurs... we were in this situation last season - arsenal will overtake spurs when spurs do their end of season splutter and fade...

Do you know, i'm really dreading it. Have been quite poorly and didn't make it into work yesterday afternoon. Am supposed to be teaching private lessons tomorrow afternoon whilst the match is going on. Now I am probably feeling better enough that I don't need to cancel them and stay home and watch on a stream and whilst normally I would be tempted to do so (cancel) I actually think I'd rather battle into work and try and forget that its on then watch the car crash that it may well be and hear from the many spurs fans I know gleefully texting, emailing, facebooking me. That's how bad we are this season. As far as I can see the best we can hope for is a draw.

No St Totteringhams day for me this year would be the final straw with Wenger. Losing out on all the trophies I hate but have resigned myself to as we just can't compete with the spending power of the top clubs even if Wenger was on top of his game but finishing below spurs would just take away any last shred of pride most Gooners have. Sounds silly but it is kind of a measuring stick. You know things are really bad when Spurs are above you.

They are totally shite at the back though, and Bale is on fire. I'm right in thinking it's at Spurs, yes? I don't think an Arsenal win is out of the question, but Spurs favourites for me. They're the better side now.
