Ambitious Blackburn

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

To be fair, he's managed to do as well as Berg did. So I suppose if you sacked him, consistently you'd sack Appleton as well.

It shows how badly run they are.

Should've kept Kean on.
No, they shouldn't. He's a lying cvnt who hated the fans as much as they hated him... Or do you reckon they should sack the fans instead?
Which is fine, if when 3rd in the league you appoint a manager better.

However, Blackburn have managed to find two managers in Berg and Appleton, considerably worse than Kean and consequently are now 4 points from relegation.

If Steve Kean hadn't had them third with the points amassed at that stage of the season they would be bottom now based on the results of Berg and Appleton.
How do you know that the fans were after a "better manager", they didn't want Kean, because he's a cvnt. Again... As I've said to you a thousand times. There's more to supporting a football club and more to football itself than squeexing points. If Bolton appointed somebody like Steve Kean, he could get us promoted or whatever, but I'd still think he was an odious cvnt who'd I'd rather be managing somebody else.

Just having a mooch around the Rovers forum. This post genuinely made me lol re who they want as their next manager.
I'd like:

Adkins

McDermott

We'd get:

Peter Taylor

Judian Ali

The Go Compare man

Gerry Francis

Sooty

Allardyce was hardly a nice bloke, Blackburn fans fairly much detested him, but put up with him because of the results.

I genuinely think that results weigh above everything else. Frankly I'm not interested in a managers personality and I don't understand people who are.

I think at the time 99% of Rovers fans would have voted Kean to go.

On reflection with hindsight now, I'd expect up to say half of them to say they wished they'd kept him, at least compared to the alternatives they chose.

It ain't about personilty. They didn't like Sam's style of play, but none of them thought he was a thief who surrounded himself with gangsters and pretty much got Allardyce the sack, despite being hired by him.

On reflection, I'd say that was absolute bollocks.

What did he steal? And which gangsters did he surround himself with.

This is all sounding a bit like the hysterical conspiracy theory bollocks that Blackburn fans came up with to justify their abuse of Kean.

End of the day, he probably was an unpleasant character. I've no idea how involved in Allardyce's sacking he was or wasn't. But there were Blackburn fans who were happy to see Allardyce go, and I think clearly the Venky's haven't got a clue about football and ask all the wrong people for advice.

But for me whilst not being very good, in the same situation I'd be unhappy with my club rocking the boat when 3rd in the league, regardless of the other circumstances.

The thing that gets me, is that Kean was a symptom of the problems rather than the cause. Yet the fans haven't exactly given the cause the same treatment to the same extent.

They can't sack the fans. They have already resigned.

Didn't see that coming. They hired Kean, he did a crap job so they extend his contract, possibly twice I can't remember. He's hated by all the fans yet somehow keeps his job even after demotion, and when he finally decides to quit they starting the revolving door of hiring and firing like there's no tomorrow. Well they are consistent those chicken farmers in some bizarre universe at least and they have the Shebmeister to keep things in order.

The reason Kean surrounded himself with gangster like people or security guards as they are better known is because their fans were threatening him.

Kean had links to glasgow gangsters, or so the story went.

But anyway. Blackburn. what a mess!

Bad news for us all. Now that's he's been sacked he'll have plenty time on his hands. Mudbloods beware!

How much is true I don't know, but I have always loved Shebby. He was a right nice person when doing commentary for EPL out of Singapore but he has found his true calling in Blackburn.
