Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ev
apparently..
Arsenal's Olivier Giroud became the first player to score a Champions League goal since the election of the new pope. The last player to achieve such a feat? Andri Shevchenko on 26 April 2005 when Milan beat PSV 2-0 in the semi-finals in the first match after Benedict XVI was elected on 19 April 2005.

quite a clever ploy today (I think) from Wenger - to play up the fact that there are no english teams left in the Chumps League and to waffle on a bit about it being a worry and a disappointment that other leagues are catching us up (taken over!) - thus focusing the news reports on the quality of the premiership as compared to other leagues - and away from the specifics of Arsenal...

I hope English teams carry on being shit in the Champions League.
It'll mean a potential decrease in the co-efficient points cuminating in the number of places being cut. Which will mean that one of the big boys will lose out on a massive chunk of their revenue.
Bring it on!

Twitter is seven years old today, meaning that no Arsenal fan has ever tweeted about winning an trophy.

I see what you're saying....Wenger is so far out of his depth that even a bunch of girls are better than him. Bit harsh but I suppose you've got a point.Gooner Girl wrote:I don't tweet but if I did i'd be bragging about the many cups and trophies Arsenal ladies have won in the past 7 yearsthebish wrote:i think you'll find that some may have tweeted about winning the Emirates Cup which they managed in 2007, 2009 and 2010Prufrock wrote:Twitter is seven years old today, meaning that no Arsenal fan has ever tweeted about winning an trophy.

Focking ell, your really asking for it. Winning the Emirates cup does not count, we do not brag about having won the Barclays Premier League Asia trophy.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Womens football is irrelevant though.......Gooner Girl wrote:I don't tweet but if I did i'd be bragging about the many cups and trophies Arsenal ladies have won in the past 7 yearsthebish wrote:i think you'll find that some may have tweeted about winning the Emirates Cup which they managed in 2007, 2009 and 2010Prufrock wrote:Twitter is seven years old today, meaning that no Arsenal fan has ever tweeted about winning an trophy.

I really don't like either. The majority of the fans of both are absolute cocks (a few notable exceptions of course).
