Where are you going tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Well... not exactly tonight, but today got back from a couple of nights in the Inn at Whitewell... 29th wedding anniversary outing, four poster bed and all...

Fab Inn, large room, great food, good wine list, real ale, fantastic countryside. Great view at breakfast of hills through the early morning rain... Our thoughts of walks uphills transformed when facing moorland redefining the concept 'sodden'... into Clitheroe and the Byrne Bros (£104 snip on wine - not always a good idea to take a credit card here, but happy this time with 16 bottles, including a Gevrey-Chambertain for my burgundy-loving Bristol based friend hosting us when down for the Ashton Gate game, and, anyway, this 'shop' is just a delight if you love wine, and has bargains as well as £300 plus rare bottles), then specialist cheese shop, where we got cheese from Spain (Cabrales, really tangy blue from Picos de Europa) and Lancashire (a goat and a blue), and, at a kitchen shop, a bread making machine, and, at Booths, best supermarket in the country, imho, several flours and yeasts... this could be a new hobby...

We drove around lost for ages on the way back, but managed to stop at farm shops for yogurts and fresh eggs and cream, and a market for fish and veg... And arrived back in time for opera at the cinema... good displacement activity from worrying about Ipswich away... fortunately as it turned out...

happy anniversary :D

I see that there's a Lithuanian Animation Retrospective on at The Cornerhouse later today - so that's William's evening sorted. :D

My crin's been blithered again. I've just had a thing through from The Academy. This Saturday they've got something on called Bootleg Festival. This comprises a load of these 'tribute' bands. As my Glaswegian friend puts it - get tae feck, yous bunch o' fannies.

Tonight is the Press Night of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, with the cast including the excellent Margot Leicester. Looking forward to this very much!

And a recco also for Compliance at the Cornerhouse which i saw a couple of days ago. Theatrical, gripping, disturbing.

We were at The Royal Exchange yesterday evening for To Kill a Mockingbird. Good stuff, specially combined with an early nosh at Jamies.
